It's time again I think, with all these new toons coming around to share those moments of sudden enlightenment you've had playing Toontown. For example:
-In the factory warehouse, I tried to hold those buttons down by standing on them because I didn't get we were crushing the goons on the floor below. Well, duh!
-It was a long time before I realized that as long as one cog in the line was a lvl 6, then you could get gag credit for hitting a lvl 3 cog with a firehose. That's why toons don't want you to kill off the strongest cog first!
-Realizing that the reason I exited my cannon early in the CJ fight is because I ran out of ammo (just learned that this month, after having already maxed CJ). I think I'm better at this part now!!

--Getting completely lost my first time in the factory after getting separated from the others and ultimately dying in the purple paint cause I figured that everybody must be over on the other side.
--Figuring out the power meter bar in the VP only after I had reached a Mingler suit. One other toon and I were left alone during a VP pie round (everyone else died) and it was only then, when I was up front throwing pies by myself (the other toon was stunning from the rear) that I realized my pies had to hit him above the waist before they did any good. I just threw pies willy nilly, like always, and I couldn't get that blasted VP to move backwards one inch. I finally noticed, for the first time, the power bar and realized that I could throw higher/lower, etc. I had made it all the way to a Mingler suit without really being any help at all during the pie round! HEH

- Realizing that you must get pies in the undercarriage to get him to move backwards. I thought that I had to hit him in just the right spot on his torso.
- Realizing that other toons didn't want me to kill off the biggest cog first.
- Realizing that just because a toon has lower laff doesn't mean that they don't know what they are doing.
- Realizing that the safe doesn't hurt the CFO until he had those stars around his head.

What?!?!? Why were you killing off toon? I suddenly feel less safe around you. I'm not sure what kind of duh moments I've had. It also took me a few battles to figure how to stun the VP. Besides that, I think I've picked up on things farily quickly...

Think this qualifies as a D'OH! moment. Yes, be scared..be VERY scared! Will edit that!
- Realizing that the phrase "You Stink!" may not be a bad thing.

When my friend and I noticed you usually have to point the cannon pretty far up in the cannon game to make it in the water.
And I know I had one more recently, but I can't think of any at the moment.
Oh oh I know, when my friend and I also realized that any jellybeans you earn that don't fit into your bean-carrying jar thing go to your bean bank at home. We thought they just disappeared. We used to go back and forth from the trolley to our houses when we were trying to earn jellybeans. It was so annoying, we were so happy when we found out!

-realizing (around 60 laff points in the brrg with my first toon and not knowing ttf or other web sites existed) that when a group of cogs are lured, they don't hit you back until you either hit them or the lure wears off and thats why other toons were not happy when I threw pie at a cog, when they hit the other one.
- realizing what a lure bonus was (about 6 months ago reading ttf posts) and the fact you really want one if you have non-organic throw and someone lured a 10 and you are the only one targeting that cog.
- gag credit and merits/cogbucks/notices/thingies double during an invasion.
- gag credit increases with each level of floor in a building, even without an invasion.

They always said "Let's all go for the same Cog" I didn't know how to tell which cog they were going for. I found out with one of those little tips that pop up right after you teleport.

I just barely learned that 2 weeks ago. LOL! (Thanks for helping me understand that chocoholic! )
-Realizing you have to go to your wheelbarrow to sell your flowers. You don't go find other toons to sell them to. (I spent so much time trying to figure out where a button was on someone else's profile that said "Sell flowers." I was so confused!) LOL
-Took me forever to understand the invasions and how they helped in factories, mints, etc.
-I didn't understand you could "shop around" for toontasks until I was near 100 lp.
Every once in a while, I just hit the wrong gag button, and it messes everything up. I apologize to anyone who has had to go through one of those terrible situations which I have caused!

There are probably a lo9t, I just can't think of them. But the first time I fought 2 cogs, I thought the other toon was going for the cog that was a dash, not the X. I was really confused.

When I first started fishing, I didn't notice the shadows with the bubbles coming out, so I just kept casting wherever like what I thought everyone else was doing. I lost so much loot that I thought fishing was a total rip off and I always rode the trolley. My son showed me the correct way to fish a couple months later.
I also didn't know about the different districts for my first month or so of play. I was trying to meet my son in the gazebo one time and we were in different districts. I was really upset and saying that I hated TT because they had us playing in different servers. My son came to the rescue again.

I think the fun of the game or any game is finding all those things out as you go. I have had most if not all of those moments above. I didn't know about the districts until I had to venture in cash HQ and always wondered why everyone kept staring at their book. You could actually get lucky and get in river once upon a time.
I also kept trying to tell my son that drop would work with lure. Good thing I couldn't lure. I have to admit I also learned a lot of those things by the little messages that pop up. They were very helpful as I didn't find this place til I had all my suits and was just working those.

Same here! We new about the districts, but we didn't know that welcome valley was actually a bunch of different districts (i.e., you know how when you look up a toon's district and it says "Welcome Valley [Kookyboro]" or something like that?).

I have had so many Duh moments. The one that pops to mind was in the Brrrgh, I had a task to get something, I think it was Cauliflower??? I was fighting cogs all day, about 5 hours, nothing!! I went back to my book and read the task again, I was suppose to be fishing for them!! OMG!! My kids laughed at me for weeks on that one! as soon as I fished, I got what I needed within 5 minutes!! That's five hours of my life I will never get back!

Well I had one yesterday. Thought I'd share it in case someone else didn't know or maybe I'm the only one. I did not know that you could still receive your item in the VP without winning. I got my make up powder even though I went sad. I did make it to the second round so I'm assuming I got it in the first round. Good thing I checked my task before attempting a third VP for the day.

I think this only works in the VP if you make it through the first round. Technically, the battle is done, and it rewards you with whatever you might get, like a building or something. Then the second battle happens, and you can get more stuff. What I'm trying to say is that you have to make it through the whole first or second battle to earn your rewards from those battles.
