Understanding Baseball
View Single PostView Single Post

A lot of people do not understand the game of baseball.
This simple explanation should help them understand the game.

This is a game played by two teams.
When one is out the other is in.
The one that's in sends players out one at a time to see if they can get in before they get out.
If they get out before they get in, they come in, but it doesn't count.
If they get in before they get out it does count.
When the ones who are out get three outs from the ones who are in, the team that's out comes in and the team in goes out to try to get those going in out before they get in without being out.
When both teams have been in and out nine times the game is over.
The team with the most in without being out before coming in wins unless the ones in are equal.
In which case, the last ones in go out to get the ones in out before they get in without being out.
The game will end when each team has the same number of ins out but one team has more in without being out before coming in.
The game will end when both teams have been in and out nine times, but only if one team has more ins without being out.
Otherwise both teams go in and out again in the hopes that one team will have more ins than the other.
Unless it rains?
Now, do you understand it ??? Shocked

You forgot to mention if it snows! It did that in Cleveland last year, so some of their games had to be moved to Milwaukee. Shocked I think baseball is simple enough. I'm half-watching baseball half-playing TT right now. Go Brewers!

And who says baseball is boring? Especially when it is so clear and poetic. Great description, it hurt my brain to read it.

That makes a ton better sense than football. Throw the ball, run a little bit, fall on the ground and wrestle for a second then start over in a different area. *runs for cover from football fans*

I do love your baseball description pkdmrd....reminds me of whos on first
