Firefox browser and Themes
View Single PostView Single Post

For those using Firefox, you may be aware you can use 'Themes' to change the look of the browser.
Look under the Tools menu, pick Themes.
You'll get a dialog that shows what Themes you have (probably only the Firefox(default) one.) But down in the lower right corner you will see a link for 'Get More Themes' If you click that you'll get to a Mozilla site that has a big selection of themes for your browser.

I was thinking if someone is enterprising and motivated enough, a TT themed browser would be AWESOME! A nice match for browsing TTF. I'm laying down the gauntlet and challenging someone on the group to create a TT Theme for Firefox. Smile

Even if no one takes on the task, enjoy the themes, I changed mine to one I really like - Red Cats (blue flavor). Very cute.

I am having so much fun changing my themes today! I wonder how hard it would be to make a theme? Anyone know where I would even begin to find info on how to do it?

Well, you will need to get your hands a little dirty loopy. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Theme_development
You will need a bit of image editing skills along with a little know-how about Cascading Style Sheets.

And a little imagination won't hurt either. Wink

Apart from that, you're good to go. Smile

Looks like I'm out of luck then...My imagination stinks, and I kow absolutley NOTHING about cascading style sheets! Oh well, it would cut into my Toontown time anyway....

ITA Loopy, my sheets were cascading earlier today as I knocked my presentation packet off my desk and into the floor. Don't know if you'd consider them style sheets, but I was rather proud of that presentation.

I'm not much of a graphics guru myself, but if someone would be willing to do up some graphics for it, I would take a look at the coding part, since I know how to use CSS.

Firefox ROCKS! LOL. I was a very early adopter of the new browsers created when Netscape released their code.

Firefox being the best incarnation yet.

Here's my view of TTF with the Aquatint theme for Firefox:
