I am not sure why Disney decided to ask this question, but maybe it will be a way to load Toontown with Firefox instead of Internet Exploder.

So, if you haven't already answer this question correctly!!!!!!

I agree, I prefer Firefox over IE any day of the week. I already voted.

I always use Firefox... of course except to get onto toontown. That would be awesome if I could phase IE completely out of my life...

I guess I'm completely sucked into the Microsoft world.

I don't know what Firefox is. Isn't is a plane that was featured in a movie back in the 80's?

LOL! It was a Clint Eastwood movie back in the 80's. http://imdb.com/title/tt0083943/ You should really give firefox a try though, it works with almost every single site you have, and you get less popups, has a better (I think) tab system you can use if you have multiple pages open at the same time. Plus it has fun features that link firefox to dictionary.com wikipedia and others. (Oh, and it's free) Anyway, give it a try... http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Forget about it! The majority of TT base doesn't know what Firefox is. Kids don't have a clue that other browsers (if they know what a browser is) exist outside of Internet Explorer. Opera and Firefox are the 2 main good browsers out there that doesn't use IE to render the pages.

So although I had voted, I see it as rather pointless. Maybe 10 years from now?

I don't know why, but I find that my internet runs alot better with just IE. Firefox makes it a bit slower. I don't know how everyone else thinks its better. ._.

I've never experienced or seen a difference in speed on the internet... however I do know I have had less spyware problems, which keeps my whole computer running quicker since switching over to firefox. But it's all a matter of preference. It would be nice if Disney made it accessible from other browsers besides IE.

Exactly bert ole pal. Spyware, adware, any kind of WARE is preventable by using another browser. And is my #1 reason why I moved away from IE. It is too easy to be infected by some kind of program using IE, without any interaction from me. And since IE is directly tied into Windows, these programs are able to do more damage.

Firefox or Opera, if a program, affects it, it won't affect your system since it is not directly tied into Windows. Only thing that can happen is it crashes your browser or make it unable to work. But at least your system will still be operational.

You can speed up Firefox a bit
View Single PostView Single Post

Many of the default settings in Firefox are optimized to make dial-up work as well as possible. If you have broadband, it won't work as well as it could. Firefox is incredibly customizable, though, and you can install an extension to make it broadband-friendly in moments.
http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/

I've installed a number of extensions, like ForecastFox, ReloadEvery, TabBrowser Preferences, Dictionary Search, and a couple others. It makes the Internet much more useful. I also have about a dozen different search engines loaded, to quickly search amazon.com, ebay, altavista audio, etc. I'm not limited to the ones MS felt like giving me.

IE is finally getting with it and offering tabs, but it's still a huge exposure to viruses, trojan horses, and many other attacks. And the only reason Microsoft is offering ANY of the enhancements that they are finally putting into IE is because they were losing market share to Firefox.
