A discussion recently revealled that a Toon was NOT a CCG member and some were surprised by this.... I decided to come out of the closet and state that I'm a "non-card carry member" of the CCG. Got me thinking.... How many of you are signed up and listed on the CCG website?
Secondly ---- thinking out loud here ---- Is it important to sign up? Thoughts?

I don't see why you wouldn't join. Not sure why it matters though. You can't make reports without being a member....

I'm not a member, but I will go on CCG runs, although lately it seems I'm mostly on TTF VP or CFO runs, and even those aren't very often!! I don't ever even check the boards over there, so I guess it wouldn't matter to me...

Most know I'm a member since I helped create the reporting forms. As far as currently running, I haven't been since the times don't coincide with my RL schedule. Guess that makes me kinda silent partner.

Actually, anyone can report a run...they just can't do it through the web site.
Registering your toon on the web site and asking to join the TTC CCG User group will open up the private "polls" forum. Of course we've had few polls and currently there are no active polls.
One of the biggest "benefits" (for those of us who need to know) to signing up is that if anyone needs to find you or your toons....the data base makes it fairly easy to do.
We have many "associates" who do not feel comfortable joining in some of the discussions because they aren't CCG members. Signing up gives them more of a sense that they are part of an ESOP!

I've run with them, quite a few times, but am also a non-card carrying member. I prefer it that way, actually, because I can't stand TTC and don't want to deal with that mess. *shrug* It has nothing to do with the CCG at all. Great group!

but I have only listed one toon. Miss Creant. I go on CCG vp runs with five toons. (though, now usually with Sad Lisa) Are you supposed to list ALL your toons?

I signed up for CCG the same day I signed up for TTC - the day after Ricky got his 2nd key LOL.
The only place I go on TTC is the CCG forum, my shortcut actually takes me right there so I never even see the front page or any other part of TTC
Since user names don't always match toon names and users have multiple toons, I like being able to go to the members page and find out who I was playing with. And if someone has something to say to me (good or bad), how are they going to find me if I'm not listed as a member?
Of course, I do have a few toons that aren't listed there

I go when I can, which lately hasn't been often. Family and work get in the way of primetime CCG action. I am on the list with all my boss battle ready toons. I usally only go to CCG battles for the simple fact that I am there to have fun and not shuffle for hours on end. I try to either be in the first or last elevators as those seemingly are in the most need of a willing participant.
Why I registered? Seemed like a good idea, if I were to call myself a member

You and I both shocked ALOT of people by saying that we never signed up as a member and the news of you not being one even shocked me.
I think the most important thing is how you conduct yourself on one of these runs and by seeing how you are during these runs you probably feel the same as I do.
The CCG can easily stop sharing their schedule but they don't. They allow us to fight these bosses side by side with them day after day. The least we can do is follow their guidelines. Otherwise we could easily be sent back to fight with the elevator shuffle.
I believe that when when we go on one of their runs nobody should be able to tell the difference between a member or non member without a printout of member names. I try to do this everytime I attend one of their runs. Anyone with a smaller suit that I has a spot on the elevator before me unless I see that the elevator is on the light side then I will board. If there are too many toons and someone is going to be left out I will also step back and let the CCG members take it unless one of them says "You First". Its their run so I'm gonna take their spot unless given permission to do so.
So I want to know also....Is this card an important thing or do your actions overshadow that?
I hope all this makes sense. I'm still waiting on my first cup of coffee to wake me up.

Well.. I was a member for almost a year but am no longer for personal reasons. However, I may occasionally show up at a run when asked by a friend.

I am a card holder, felt it made a statement for myself when I decided to join. I did not join right away but thought on it first. To me signing up meant behaving in TT even when not on a run, ect ect since once you join you are recognized as a CCGer. So I had to be sure I could be responsible so as not to let anyone down. Anyway I am not shocked at how many have not signed up yet they are very dedicated followers. It's not important in my eyes if your on the member list or not, just love seeing toons I know are good for the CCG. That's what's important to me

I am a member. I started running on my first toon when she was a cc1. When I discovered CCG and began making runs, I was quite disappointed that none of my successful runs were ever reported. A friend persuaded me to join and start reporting myself. I fell in love with the belief structure of the CCG. My best friend on LVTP, we grew up together, often comes to help out. She is one the the best players I know. She won't join CCG but personifies our beliefs. IMHO - if you follow the guidelines - you belong as much as anyone else!
For those of you still wanting a card.....I can offer you free lamination.......

I've run with CCG and never joined. Mostly, because it was too much of a hassle. Also, don't you have to pay? I have a bit of an aversion to passing over my credit card or whatnot to a small site like that. Seems like there would be a bigger chance of problems then a well-known company website (which is the only way I transact business over the internet).
I would hope that my actions and behavior follow their standards so that CCG members are generally happy to see me.

Hey Sandra hun you don't have to pay or pass over your credit card to them. I never did, I just simply added my toons to the CCG member page.

Well, in that case! Anyone have the link handy?
(Of course, if I can't get my personal computer to load Toontown, the point might be moot!)

LOL @ moot point! The CCG site can be found on TTC. Just be careful on TTC, since they charge for siggies and banners and such.

CCG website:
http://www.ccg.toontowncentral.com/index.html
You don't even have to participate at TTC to do this. They do ask that you transfer any victory reports over to the forum, but I know lots of CCG members don't go anywhere else on TTC.
I had no idea you weren't a member! I am always happy to see you.
