What in the world is a UBER?? I have been on ttf for a little over a month and i keep seeing this come up and I see other abbreviations. Is there anywhere on here where I can find out the list so I know what everyone is talking about. I feel really dumb not knowing and will not join in the discussions because i just don't know.

An UberToon is a toon who doesn't take any laff point boost tasks. They don't fish or race as they all the potential of giving a laff boost. The smallest uber I have seen is our own TTF member Fritz. He's 15 laff and has cake and storm. I'm not sure if they are maxed because I haven't played with him yet. If you click on a small toon insistent on getting onto an elevator somewhere they just might be an uber. If you see some hanging around feel free to unite them with jellybeans as they have to get them the old fashioned way. They are the hardest working toons in TT.

Next time you see a low laff hanging around the factory or VP, check out his/her gags. You might be surprised to see his gags are better than most the higher laffs around him. Never hesitate to load with a true uber, you'll find the him to be one of the best experienced players on tt.
You might also find it interesting to read up on strategy to playing with a uber since several of us attend TTF VP's regularly.

The word Uber is German, loosely translated to mean "above" or "over", also as a superlative "ultra or super"
An Uber is a low laff toon who has strong gags and try to fight the VP or CFO. Most are run by folks who have played other toons and are looking for a new challenge.
There are 2 general laff limits for ubers:
1- Sellbot Ubers battle the VP at 15-50 laff. Sometimes abbreviated as SB Uber or VP Ubers.
They can carry 2-4 gag tracks if they were made after Dec 2004. There are some Sellbot Ubers who were able to get 5 or 6 gag tracks at or below 50 laffs. There are some Mr HW 50's at 30 Laff.
Laff 15-24 = 2 gag tracks (Squirt/Throw).
Laff 25-33 = 3 gag tracks (Sq/Thrw and 3rd track are often TU, or Sound)
Laff 34-50 = 4 gag tracks, many combos: Thr/Sq/TU/Lure, Thr/Sq/Drop/Sound, etc...
~50 = some 6 gag track toons
2- Cashbot Ubers battle the CFO and I've seen them at 60'ish to 80'ish laff. Sometime abbreviated as CB Uber or CFO Ubers. Many are 72 laff to start and some MAX at 78-80 laff at Robber Barron 50.
In the VP, playing with an Uber may require some teamwork and coordination. In general, most players prefer to Lure Left, Kill Right (LLKR).
The sequence could go like this:
- Opening cog round, a level 12 cog and 1 to 3 more cogs come out.
Someone may lure and hopefully the others will target the 12 with enough gags to take him out.
- Now you might have some lured cogs or you may have up to 4 new cogs come out. When the next round cogs come out, someone may lure the new cogs and the others will take out the right hand side cog. ("let's all go for the same cog")
- Taking out one cog at a time, ensures that ONLY one cog could possibly do damage. Since the most damage a cog may do is ~ 24. This ensures toons 25 or greater laff will not go sad in a single round. Back to back lure misses with low or no TU can lead to the demise of a low laff toon.
- Once you get your rythym going, this can be continued until either lure misses or gag misses.
- When a lure misses, another Lure or group TU is pretty much a safe thing to play. Though I have seen 3 back to back lure misses or all 4 toons toon up and then get hit by 4 nasty cogs.
This process is slow, conservative, but is pretty effective.
The term Urber was coined kinda tongue in cheek, to indicate a low laff, low gag toon, or Uber in training
If you get into a VP with an Uber, relax, have fun and don't fret. Except for me, most are nice. I'm just grouchy.
You won't go wrong most times if you follow the "let's all go for the same cog" and the basic LLKR strategy.

Grouchy? You?
Always good to check gags on a toon. My uber knows that going green is gonna happen.
Those with really low laffs of 15/16 know they are going to be in the playground a lot! Think of the uber on this list named Sad Lisa - she knew what she was up against.
As LST said, though, most ubers are good strategic players and are easy to work with.
