Well of course I have to add my good wishes. After all it is his 40th birthday on top of things! Been ordered to give no gifts this year and do nothing special. I will let him explain all that when he gets a chance to later today. However if things go my way he may not be able to avoid one surprise bwuahahahahahah!
So:
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
You look like a Yellow Bear named Brown Monkey
And you smell like one too!
Hee hee Happy Birthday Sweetie hope you enjoy your weekend as I know working on your Birthday is not your idea of fun.

WOW! Thanks everybody for the nice birthday wishes! You guys all rock!
Some of you are probably wondering why I dropped off the face of the earth, or at least TTF, LOL. I used to do all my posting here from work. One day my employer decided this was an inappropriate website to visit at work, so now it's filtered out and I can't access it there. I could from home, but really, given the amount of online time I get at home, I'd rather be playing TT with you in real time than blabbering away here. This is still the best group of online friends, and I love it when I can make it to TTF events, but I'm afraid I won't be posting much for the foreseeable future. (But I just had to come on and reply to this thread!)
This is an interesting birthday. The big 4-0! First time I've actually gone in to work on my birthday in years (usually take the day off, just like all my family's birthdays, but had an important meeting today). But hey, I don't feel any older. I think maybe my calendar is malfunctioning. Oh well.
One more thing I wanted to say about this birthday. Actually, the most important thing, and I owe it to a TTFer who doesn't even realize it. Many months ago I read a story here. That story really moved me. It struck a chord, and I made a decision, then and there, to do my birthday different this year. All this time, all these months, I've been planning to write this post and include a link to that post so everyone would know what I was talking about. But now that post seems to be gone. Maybe archived or whatever. I tried searching for it, but no luck. I actually do have a link to it (saved a couple months back) but that link is now broken. So I guess I have to paraphrase it.
I'm going to leave out most of the detail because I know I'd get it wrong.
The story is about a TTFer's daughter who was 7 years old at the time. She saw a homeless person one day and asked her parents about him. She had never known that some people don't have homes. She was quiet for a while, then announced that she didn't want any gifts for her birthday. Instead, she wanted people to take the money they'd spend on gifts, and donate it to a charity. That was a few years ago now, and she's done the same thing every year.
I was stunned. A 7 year old kid deciding to do that? Wow! And I thought to myself, if a 7 year old kid can do that, and give up all the toys and other fun things she might have gotten, then surely a 40 year old man can give up all the gifts that, although thoughtful and given with love, I don't really need.
So I did. I wrote all the family members who would normally give me gifts, explained the background, and said that I wanted to do something special for my 40th birthday. No party, no surprises, no gifts, but please make a donation to a charity instead. I gave them the name of a charity in my area that helps homeless people along with doing many other wonderful things, but told them to feel free to choose any charity of their own choice if that was easier.
The gift is still for me. It's a gift for my heart.
My heart's feeling pretty good today.
Thank you so much Heather. Please pass on my thanks to your daughter. She inspired me.
Kevin
