Serious Lag after Gardening
View Single PostView Single Post

Anyone else having this problem? After I water, pick, plant and water, my toon runs at half speed.

I did a bug report and .......

It's my routers fault? OH, and my RAM might not be enough and please don't run any other programs and oh yeah the best one.........drum roll please!!!!!

Update your video drivers!!!

Why is it I don't have this problem at all unless I go and garden? UGH!

I experience exactly the same. Its a horrible lag and only after gardening. So, now i do my gardening and restart TT. I didnt send a bugreport and i am not planning to either since they will sure say its my router.

But you are absolutely not the only one, many people experience this lag.

Also take note that if you are on a lower laff toon with a smaller bean jar and you have to keep returning to your estate for beans, restart your machine before you boss battle. Even if you don't garden, your estate will now take a lot of your memory so it is always wise to restart before boss battles.

I was having a lot of issues losing my connection all together. When I sent a bug report, they told me to check that I have the latelst firmware for my router, not to use a wireless connection, and to make sure I'm connected to the router with an ethernet cable. When I wrote back that I was connected with an ethernet cable, and I had the latest firmware - they told me - well we don't support the use of routers wireless or wired!

Today we seem to have some lag, but at least I'm not getting thrown off!

I updated my drivers, got a brand-spankin' new router and did everything else they said, including running in fill screen which I DETEST (absolutely NO difference when doing that, by the way, in case anyone wondered - not for me, anyway) and still have the same problems. I will continue to file bug reports because surely they KNOW it's on their end and I want to keep it at least in their mind. Last time they told me I needed to update something I asked for specifics, and never heard back, go figure! Rolling Eyes

I can do 4 gardens then the 5th toon is in slo-mo. My duckies' waddle is very pronounced now...hehe. So I do my gardening first then restart and find thats the only way to make sure I have no problems after gardening. I'll be 6 feet under my flowers before TT fixes it Wink.

Seems a lot of us are getting the same problem. I do my gardening early and then log all the way out of TT and restart it. A couple of friends have to actually reboot completely. If I don't restart TT, then the factory, mint and DA all start to gradually get slower, especially around more obstacles, like the stompers in DA, goons in factory and the big gear room in mint. Since getting this computer I have never had lag problems even in the busiest districts, but now if I spend any extended time at the estate, I have problems. But of course, if we report it, it's OUR problem and we need to update this, that or the other! Wink

I get lag so bad after gardening I have to reboot the game. I have all the latest drivers and more computing power than NASA, so it can't be that. Still, once I have maxed gardening on my big toon I will never touch the thing again, it is sooooooooo dull!

All I have to do is go to my estate to get that lag. Especially if I toon hop. I have 6 toons and if I don't totally restart tt I get lag sooo bad even in quiet dists I cant stand it. .. I never had a problem before could go in even the busiest of dists without a problem then all the sudden I have lag( or is it just tt memory leaking ) not to sure. I do wish they would fix it.
