You will all probably punish me for this, but
I DIDN'T READ THE RULES!
*hears gasps*
No, really. I've been to so many different forums that all the rules have been imprinted into my forehead. Go on, look!
So... I've had over ten different virtual homes in the past year. Most of them died. I'm not sure about the rest, but I still go on two of them. I've had three different (Though virtually the same with appearance and name) Toons over the course of my accounts. All of them named Sir Furball Crunchygoose, and all of them going for basically the same Gag Track route.
Sound -> Lure -> Trap -> Toon-Up (Accidentally picked Drop instead the first time and forever regretted it.)
So, my computer locked up the first time I tried to post a similar post. I'm going to copy this to make sure I can try again later.

Uh, how do I disable the pop-up window on the front page of the forum? It's kind of getting annoying.

No, that wasn't my point. I never said anything about posting secret friend codes. I just wanted to direct you to our Welcome Forum which has a thread on internet safety. Most of us on TTF are adults, parents, and we try to watch out for anyone under age. Most of us also prefer not to be SF with a non-adult simply because we would not want our children doing the same.
If you have tasks you need help with, feel free to post and ask.

It's not like I'd do anything wrong. Nobody seems to trust capable people. Go ahead, look at my achievements in all my homes. I'm not a bad person. I can understand age discrimination like this, but I don't really like it.

First of all...Welcome to TTF! And it really isn't about age discrimination...it's a bunch of parents worried about kids. I bet if you asked your parents about how they'd feel if you had an online friend who was 35, they'd be VERY concerned, regardless of your maturity. I don't allow MY kids to have secret friends I don't know and therefore *I* do not have sf's who are children, it's only fair for me to follow my same rules. It really doesn't have anything to do with you personally, most of the parents I know go by that general rule as well. We really are a helpful bunch as Granny MoMo said, if you need help, just post!

Hello and welcome to TTF!
First, to answer your question about the pop-up - I assume you mean the Prillian box. That's our Instant message program, and it comes on automatically when you click on the forum page. There are 2 ways to get rid of it - 1. minimize the box.... or 2. Change your settings. At the top of the box you'll see some symbols. Third from the right is what looks like a little pot of gold...click on that and it will give you the option "Launch client when you visit forum index". The default is yes - change it to no, and you're good to go.
If you don't do either of these things, but X out the box when it pops up, then it will pop up every time you go back to the forums page, which CAN get annoying. So try one of those things.
As far as secret friends: No, TTF does not have anything against passing out codes here. You may find, though, that most of our members prefer to get to know someone a bit here on the forums first before becoming friends in game. Many adults do not like to have children as sfs. This is not discrimination in any way, shape, or form. It is personal preference, and I must say that I do not allow my kids to be sfs with adults that I don't already know in game. It's just a really smart way to do things. You have your opinion on this - we respect it, please respect ours. The adults here care about kids and want to keep them safe.
Again, welcome!

Or I can just change my pop-up blocker's settings. I understand your views on this, and realize that you are simply protecting the people.

You certainly can. I didn't realize you already had the answer.
By the way, I forgot to say this the first time but I'm sure you already know - s/he who does not read the rules is still responsible to follow them.
