The first time I "signed up" on TTF, I typed a quick "signature" and got right to posting and such. Now that I see the cool pics of everyones favorite toons....catchy proverbs and the like.......I wanted to "personalize" my Profile. I made some changes to my signature, tried to add an "avatar" and went back to checking out the site. When I DID make a reply, NONE OF MY CHANGES WERE THERE AND STILL AREN'T THERE! I have read the FAQ board and the word "Profile" isn't anywhere I can see......only TOONFILE. Why aren't my settings being updated? Does it have something to do with the "site lag"? What am I doing wrong. I spent 45 minutes making a cool Avatar of my Favorite Toon and can't upload it or use it below my login name!

Your profile is your toonfile. As for the avatar, I bashed my head on the desk for about 30 mins one day because I kept adding one and it *appeared* to be accepted, only to find out it was not showing up. I realized later that the avatar I had made was too big and though it never said it WASN'T accepted, it just didn't show up.

Avatar information: its width can be no greater than 130 pixels, the height no greater than 130 pixels, and the file size no more than 82 KB.

I uploaded the Avatar you uploaded to the Image Hosting area. If that's not the one you wanted, then I apologize.

The profiles do change. and the site will give you an error as to why the Avatar didn't take, the error shows up at the very top of the page when updating your profile. The reason your avatar didn't take is the you can only use a .jpg, .gif, or .png image file, that is the error that I saw and you should have also.

If you let me know what else hasn't or won't change let me know and I will take a look at it.
