Level 7 Gag Stats / Usage - Great Info

Good info here... the main thing I learned was that all cogs get the bonus if a throw gag is used on just one cog when using the Wedding Cake. The same goes for squirt.

ok, i'm confused lol

Organic Geyser + Hose on ANY COG + Lure

Kills 4 LURED 11s

Organic Geyser + Lure + Seltzer on ANY COG

Kills 4 LURED 12s!!!!

how does the seltzer do more damage than the hose?

Organic geyser = 115
Hose = 30
Seltzer = 21
Lure bonus = 50% of combined gags
Multi-gag bonus = 20% of combined gags

Geyser (115) + Hose (30) + Lure Bonus (73) + Multi-gag bonus (29) = 247
Geyser (115) + Seltzer (21) + Lure Bonus (68) + Multi-gag bonus (28) = 232

If my math is correct, both will kill lured 12s if used in coordination with organic geyser. Let me quickly do the math with non-organic geyser (105):

Geyser (105) + Hose (30) + Lure Bonus (68) + Multi-gag bonus (27) = 230
Geyser (105) + Seltzer (21) + Lure Bonus (63) + Multi-gag bonus (26) = 215

OK, maybe my math is wrong, but to me it looks like it will work even with non-organic geyser. :?:

OK Testers..... I posted this on the other site. Has anybody else seen this?

Clarification : Level 7 Trap will Not hit all cogs if a single lure (dollar bills) is used on one cog. The Train will hit only the cogs that are lured so a group lure (magnet / Goggle / slideshow) is required for all cogs to be damaged. I had 2 cogs lure & 2 unlured and used Train which caused the 2 lured ones to move back. I lured only one Unlured cog. Only the one cog was hit and the 2 lured cogs remained unlured.... I just used goggles on them the turn before so they didn't break lure due to the number of turns. My Trap on test is organic and I use it alot...

Interesting. I've not tried a single lure on train tracks to see this. However, in group lures with the train tracks, the already lured cogs did indeed step back and then get re-lured and slammed. Now I might just have to test the single lure myself!

Yep... I wasn't seeing things... I recreated it again this evening... the 2 lured ones stepped back and remained UNlured and attacked me after the single lured Cog was ran over by the train.

I know this is old but I'm new so...
If somebody has an organic birthday cake and they wanna hit their own cog without any help and the other cogs are greater than you can do by yourself, and if no one needs a tu, what is the right gag choice? I always add "one more" if I'm not sure....I would rather overkill then hit a cog and unlure him without killing him...I know, read the hit point guide and learn it, but sometimes when the cogs shuffle I lose track of which was the lvl 11 and which was the 10 since you can't see the level during gag selection. I try to keep up with the shell game they play before they line up but...
Also...unless there is a danger of running out of gags to make it through, I kinda like the "let's all go for the same cog" so your gag experience is a lot greater than say, blasting your way through SB factory with sound.
I realize the importance sometimes of getting the cogs before they become unlured but hey...unless we're really getting pounded lets re-lure and tune up. Like I said, I'm new to T town and don't wanna be on people's "blacklists".

An organic Birthday cake will take out a lure lvl 11 cog IF you get the lure bonus.

I will hit the right most 11 with my cake and say "Come check out my garden." Or "I'll get this one"

But again it is the right most cog and you need the lure bonus.

huh?

I read the link and understand the organic bonus... which is also funny because I can remember saying "come check out my garden" while waiting for cogs that just got off the elevator in a building (just because it's funny) not because I had organic gags which I did up to 3 lvls Laughing (I planted all my gags when I didn't have many).

Thank you Varmint...glad to hear somebody sees it like I do...reasonably Laughing I am just starting to notice more A-retentive toons the higher up you go. These toons act like their reputations are on the line if we use anything other than a bike horn and organic Piano because we OVERKILLED!... I've got plenty of SOS cards (as I BET they do too) if it's running out of gags they are worried about.
WHO CARES! Like I said, I like the gag experience points so I only mind when it puts me in jeopardy of going sad. One thing I totally agree with from the link is USING your lvl 7's, I see toons during the dance and we are getting our experience points and they have:
0 to go
0 to go
0 to go
0 to go
0 to go
0 to go
? what good are they if you don't use them?!? Correct me if I'm wrong, because I am curious here. If you have "0 to go"that means if you use that gag you have another one waiting for you when the battle ends (if you dance) Correct?
Now if you don't use the gag it still says 0 to go and you see the + experience points...those don't accumulate while you are at 0 to go do they? aren't they just wasted?
I love the lvl 7 gags and can't wait to get 3 more,(drop, tu and lure)
They BURN HOLES in my pockets baby.

And yes Nanner! I too, find there is something especially funny about hitting a lvl one with 3 birthday cakes!

Yes, toons with more experience do get a bit OCD on the whole thing (although there are definitely some math-impaired toons on TTF!). In tough situations, I appreciate someone letting me know that they are going to be able to take out a lured 11 with an organic birthday cake. There are some crunch times when it matters.

On test, I build up all my level 7s and then go to the coin mint and try to solo (finding help on Test is sometimes tricky). So, I may have some at 0 to go while I build up the rest. I have a feeling we will all need to build them up for when the CEO comes out on open!!

combined gag bonus
View Single PostView Single Post

This was awesome to read, I didn't know about the combined gag bonus getting shared on all four cogs when you add a "like" gag on top, a Birthday cake with a wedding cake or a rain cloud with the geysers. My old thinking was Sound will help damage all four, but that screws up the Lure bonus Embarassed . Is it okay to Lure when someone is dropping an Ocean liner? what is the best compliment to that gag?

I dunno about 3 birthday cakes on a 1 but 4!Now THAT'S fun!!! I am so glad about this post. Wow the things you miss. So that person with the seltzer bottle was being gag smart. YET I PREFER absoballyflippinlutely overkill like 2 organic grand pianos on a three! Tis a shame for you toons out there that can't understand the great simple things in a toon's life. Like the B-day cakes on a one. ESPECIALLY after the bike horn making it red.

Ocean Liner...some say to use sound. Now if you would like to use lure on one just go ahead. The toon dropping the ship will most likely hunt you down and make you green but whatever floats your boat Very Happy (HA HA...get it...boat...ummm nevermind) The best use of a lvl 7 gag with lure is on all unlured cogs. One toon pulls out their little choo choo train and you lure....one cog Razz Ask MST. That's one of her fav's Laughing

Banthadude.....ya can't do FOUR cakes on a one. Somebody has to lure it! (or bike horn) Rolling Eyes Razz

Bike horn is for THREE. Who lures ones(except with presentation)? Everyone does the 4 cake thing. SHEESH! What sublinimal messages have those geese, ducks, loons, or whatevers been sending you! DOGS are man's best friend. Who's best friend is a duck, goose, loon, or whatever(besides you........)?

Of course you lure a one! With barbie of course (she is also very useful on 4 - 12's) Have to watch her though. She can get real moody sometimes!
