Thanks again for all the warm wishes. Just a very brief update. Surgery has been bumped to noon. I expect to have her home either just before or just after dinner.

Sorry audrey that sucks that happened. I've been seeing all the snow u have been getting up there. We got a lot of here too the other day. Guess it will be a white christmas after all. Then again it always is in Winterpeg!! lol...Hope u get better fast. Kev put some salt down lmao....

(sigh) Audrey's still not home.

The good news is that the surgery went well and everything is looking good.

But she's on morphine for the pain and is not in any shape to come home yet, so they're keeping her overnight. There doesn't seem to be anything preventing her from coming home tomorrow though. The kids and I are looking forward to that, and I think Audrey's looking forward to it even more.

I haven't been on TTF the last few days...and boy I am so sorry I am so late finding out.
Glad to hear that you have had the surgery and that it went well.

Jay and I will be praying for your speedy recovery. Take it easy and follow those doctors orders to let it heal up well!! Don't try to be wonder woman and hurt yourself again.

Hope to see you hoping down the streets of toontown soon!!

Hi Everyone and thanks for the well wishes. It has been a rather interesting few days for me as you can all guess. I got home yesterday afternoon a day later than hoped or at least hoped the second time around lol. I woke up on Sunday Morning hoping to come home and the nurse said to me "so you are with us a few more days?" and I said "what I thought I was going home today" she went on to say that I was still on morphine for pain and had an IV attached to me so it was unlikely that I would go home that day. I also found out that my surgeon was back in the OR most of the day, boy this Ice hurt a lot of people. So the shorter version was I could get out that day but probably not till late in the day and I knew Kevin couldn't get me that late at night so Monday it is. I never did see my surgeon again, he wrote up my release order when and gave it to the nurse. oh well.

I learned pretty quickly that spending the night in an ER hallway is not a great place. I heard things that were not very comforting at all the worst being some guy obviously coming off of some bad drug and screaming like he had some kind of monster in him. I later found out that it took 10 people to hold him down and he was still knocking the bed over. I got lucky after that and got a private room but after that experience I was feeling like it was pretty well earned. But boy the people you can meet in an ER makes me feel like I am very protected in my little suburban world.

So now I am back home hoping I don't break the other ankle tripping over the dog or the cat and trying to rest. I am not sure how much time I will be on TT in the next few days as I am still feeling pretty yucky and tired but with 6 to 8 weeks in a cast and not allowed to put weight on this ankle tells me I should have a lot of time in the near future lol. Kevin is doing a great job of being Mom and Dad right now too!

Glad to hear you are back home with your family.I'm sure glad Kevin is keeping the peace for you while you recuperate.Guess he knows that if he didn't, he would have a lot of esplainin' to do and riled up TTF women can sure be scary! (only joking with ya Kevin,we know you're one of the good guys ) Please take care and visit when you are up to it .

Thanks for posting Audrey! Glad you are at least home to get better - so much better than a hospital (and we won't even go into the ER issue!!). Hopefully, TT will soon be able to take your mind off your ankle and into the pit where it belongs
