Are you tired of slackers and griefers not helping in the Factory or Mints? Well.....I never used to worry much about it, but the frequency of these toons is on the rise! Oh sure...Queen Fuzzyfoot and I can handle it ourselves, but the notion of some GOOFBALL doing nothing irritates me to no end. I am aware that most people don't want "confontation", but I will not allow someone to get a free ride! There is the possibility that some of these "slackers" could be young kids.....but, by the third or fourth set of cogs....the young ones will usually "say" or "do" something. The inexperienced TT players will "usually" THROW, SQUIRT or HEAL. If this is the case, I understand and that is cool. As for the rest of you slackers who want some free merits and not have to use some gags.....GUESS WHAT.....I AM HIP TO YOU GUYS!
Here is what the Queen and I like to do!
We will engage and pass until they start taking damage. This technique usually gets some form of response. If they start to attack, We will help them attack.....but won't heal until the next set. If they attack in a normal fashion, then I heal them and we are "good to go".
If they "pretend" to be sorry and start slacking again, we will just keep passing until they kill all the cogs or they get frustrated and teleport out. Today we encountered a real slacker. He didn't do anything until we started slacking back at him. We were picking LURE, then he would pick TRAP....nothing else......just TRAP. So, Queen Fuzzyfoot would lure......then switch to PASS at the last second. Meanwhile......I (King Fuzzyfoot) would wait for HIS TRAP then pick one of my own. The end result was my TRAP squashing his, no LURE and the cogs attacking him.
Finally...he figured out that he was either gonna die.or have to kill the cogs himself. Keep in mind, this toon had 66 Laff, MAX SQUIRT and SOUND! We never advocate "being mean" because it could be kids.....but, this toon was NO KID! He new exactly what he was doing.
AFter it was all said and done..(1 hour and 10 minutes later...:>)) We killed the Foreman. He used every big gag he had and had 12 Laff left. A few times we picked sound just to see if he would FINALLY join us.....but he did not! We only missed out on 4 cogs. That run yielded about 120 less than the normal 776. It was worth it! So.....if you get annoyed as we do with people who like to take advantage of other peoples work.....give them a taste of thier own medicine!
Oh....by the way......I have had several toons "apologize" in game and then ask for help" to save them and I always do. That is the nature of the game. I would rather fight with newbies who use bicycle horns on a LURED level 12 than let some slacker run the Factory for FREE!
Am I cruel? Am I heartless? I think not.

Ordinarily, I don't really care if a toon doesn't use their gags as long as there are enough gags out to kill. If there's already an aoogah and an elephant out at the first set of cogs, why add another sound gag when there is already ample to kill with? A magnet, perhaps. A hose or pie aimed at a cog in case of a miss . . . that is ok, too. If a toon passes then, that doesn't bother me either.
Now, that said . . . I wonder if you were in with the same toon I was with the other day. I was in a 3 toon factory on See Green. We had 2 elephants aimed at the second set of cogs and this toon PASSED! He HAD sound, just didn't want to use it. He wanted to work his TU and so tried to force others to take hits. He did this at every set with the 6. At some point, I just shook my head and played it like a 2 toon. I really don't mind helping toons, even randoms, work some gags in the factory. But the way this toon went about it, I had no interest in helping.

I haven't been in the factory as much lately but haven't run into many slackers either. When I was running for my Hollys, I'd occasionally find a toon in a 4 toon group that would hoard their sound. At the end, I realized they were on the 5500 (before the invasions!) and just wanted to run a bunch without having to pop back to the playground to restock. To be honest, I have some empathy for those toons.
But, I don't get why a toon wouldn't throw a gag these days. Building up to your next level 7 gags requires you to continue to work gags. So, why waste an opportunity? To be honest, I just want in and out quickly, so I would tend to just drag the goofball along.

Both Excellent Points and I realize WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT ANNOYS ME SO MUCH!! They don't pass! If they would just PASS instead of letting the timer run out, I PROBABLY WOULDN'T CARE!! The Factory run that made me write this was a 3 toon run. King and Queen Fuzzyfoot (that's us) and a mouse who wasn't picking anything. I don't feel any empathy towards toons that do those sorts of things just because they have to go gag up. Oak street is a very short street! I doubt it would take 5 minutes to gag up and run back!
I guess it is just the fact that the slackers "expect" me(us) to just let them cruise thru! I have ALWAYS went with the majority in the Factory! If 2-3 toons went the short way..I would go with them! If I only need 210 Cogbucks I will help someone do the Bullion Mint, etc. I guess it just flies in the face of what the game is supposed to be about. I take my job as a "cat eared crusader" very seriousely.....LOL
Anyway....thanks for the posts. Keep your head down and your pies dry!

Are you really sure that you weren't with a very young kid? I know my 4 yr old has made it to the streets of the Brrg and DDL and tried to "help" other toons. She of course has 15 lp and no gags and doesn't use the speedchat so she ends up standing there. She could easily make it to the factory and would be quite capable of following the other toons through it. I usually try and say something when I see this has happened but they don't have "Sorry my young child is enjoying running around TT and is really trying to help."
I often get in frustrating situations in the factory, etc, but try to tell myself it is a game that a lot of children play and wouldn't want someone being stinky to my child so I just play along knowing there will be a better run next time. Of course, I don't understand why people would purposefully do this and am not saying it is good toon behavior. Just offering a different perspective.

Hmmm, was that your kid that followed me into the factory the other day? I was with one friend and a 17 laff with level 1 gags followed us into the factory. With a smile on my face, I ran to the first set of cogs and lured them in then waited for the little guy to join in. Alas, the poor thing disco'd .
My uber is more careful who she loads with and won't hop on a load with toons who's gags and laff can't support the run (interpret this loosely, See Green has danced in a 2 toon full factory with one other 25 laff toon that had an elephant). On a bigger toon, I just get on and whoever joins me joins me. As long as they're not intentionally griefing me, it's no skin off my nose if they tag along.

Mine hasn't made it in the factory yet. She just thinks she has to help everyone if they are in a battle on the street. She has made it through a building. I do hate to see the little toons go sad in the factory. This is where I usually use my little toons of the world tune ups.
I also don't mind going with whoever if I don't have a friend to go with. This usually makes it take longer as there have been a lot of toons "needing to deliver a cream pie" lately. I prefer going with friends only because we can use sound through it and get done quickly.

Seeing as I am not clairvoyant, I cannot be 100% sure it was an older kid who should know better, BUT.....I have played enough to know the difference between "lag" and someone not choosing gags on purpose. If the above scenario would have happened, we would have just went along seeing as your 4 year old doesn't do ANYTHING. The toon in my scenario did nothing and something all at the same time. They wanted TRAP points, but didn't want to use sound or any other gags. When we switched...they switched and so on. We don't squash little ones. It is pretty easy to tell the age bracket of a player. 2-4=move in strait lines only. Lotsa wall hitting. 5-10=use speedchat for everything at least twice per event!...LOL 11+ Should be able to play the right way and/or be a griefer......LOL
Thanks 4 the posts.

Unless it's my 5 yr old. Says very little but when she does it makes no sense as far as what is going on.
Also asks me, EVERY time when I'm playing with friends, if their name is Princess Trixie Twinkletoes

LOL, my 8 year old mostly says "Don't have a Cow", for no apparent reason other than he likes it. He does know how to pick gags, but he'll pick what he wants to, thanks - unless he's in VP then he's a serious LLKR-er. And he wants to know if all my friends are Granny MoMo - I think he wants to marry her some day .

That's funny! My nine yr old liked the "Thank you, I'll be here all week" and used "Owooo" way to often. He also picked what he wanted, but would try and go along with the group sometimes. I think the first words my daughter learned to read were Queen Raven. She always knew when she was coming online and get very excited. Luckily I still play with her.

You know what is funny? I headed into the factory with Miss P to help a friend. We had a full elevator. There was one toon that we didn't know. She was a little distracted and got to some of the battles late. We were doing a full factory and when we went off for the skelecogs (the room with 2 sets), she headed off to the Warehouse and said "Let's Meet in the Warehouse". She didn't have lure so we weren't too worried. So, we eventually get to the Warehouse and there she is - asleep!
Well, there is no way to wake up a toon . So, we continued on our merry way. I just can't help wondering - what is the point??

Girl, I had a similar thing happen in the DA office... One toon was distracted and late to multiple sets of cogs, and when I say late... I mean LATE! We get to the final set finally and are waiting on an invasion, someone gets tired of the delay and calls one, we engage. Well 3 of us engaged, our slowpoke is standing behind us ASLEEP! A toon throws tracks, but myself and another do not lure but wait and take the hits. Ok, I dont mind waiting a bit, but enough was enough and we go ahead and lure with the one still standing behind asleep. We start to dance, and the toon wakes up. OOF, she never said a word just stood behind us as we danced. You have to wonder what was going on to cause that much of a delay.

I wonder the same thing sometimes until one night when I was playing and I hear this blood curdling scream from the other room. Not even thinking about where I was I put the laptop down and went to find my son had fallen on the corner of the coffee table. I got him situated with advil and ice (he ended up being fine an hour later) and went back to the computer. How can I tell my son "Wait a minute I need to finish this building/factory run then I'll come and make you feel better". I try to see it from both sides as I've been there.

Ditto...
That phrase "Sorry, I had to leave unexpectedly" sure comes in handy sometimes. It seems my 4 year old knows when the VP pie round starts cause that is when he will holler for help with his GameCube or something else. It is kinda ironic sometimes.

Yeah they have a way with time don't they? My son is 9 and quiet/laidback so when he screams, I need to go immediately. I don't know how he fell into the coffee table and even though he denies it I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the skateboard rolling around in the kitchen.
