Ok, I have tried twice to post something in the off topic forum. It keeps saying it doesn't exist. Confused Then I see a post by me in the forum page, but nothing is there. My laptop has been acting funny so it may be to blame. I give up and if anyone can find or delete what is there feel free. I was trying to post about Dr. Seuss's birthday.

What does it say doesn't exist, the post or the forum? Maybe it's just not going through, like if you have a bad connection....or possibly you saved it to draft? Anyway I don't see it either, sorry Sad

Thanks for looking. It would first say the message was entered succesfully and then went to an error screen. I don't remeber which it said didn't exist. When I looked on the forum page, it had a message by me but nothing was there. I had to use the touchpad thingy and it had a mind of it's own this morning. I had saved it because I had to get pictures and then it was gone after I tried to post it. No biggie. It is Dr. Seuss's birthday today and also Read Across America Week. Had a great time with it today at school. Thanks again! Don't lose any sleep over it.

I'm not sure what I keep doing, but again it shows I posted something, but it isn't there. I got this post does not exist. Please return and try again. This does only seem to happen when I save the post because I'm uploading a picture and then return to it. Is there something special I need to do when I save the post? Confused

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Can you tell me exactly what you're doing? There shouldn't be any reason you have to save the post while you upload. Hmmm, now I'm very curious to figure out what's going on! Confused

I didn't know there was a way to upload pics without saving the post. I always save it then go to the upload pics at the top and then open the message back up and paste in the link. I only have the problem when I make a new post. I posted the same thing as a reply yesterday and had no problems. Luckily I found a topic it sort of fit. If I don't have to save it to get the pics that would be nice, how do you do that?

I always got the screen that says you're message was entered successfully then it would jump to the this post or topic doesn't exist screen. Then I would see my mysterious post on the forum page and nothing is there. Thanks for trying to help lady Z!

LOL, ok, I think we're getting to the bottom of this. I just did some experimenting and found the same thing happened when I saved a draft of a post. It was there when I went to edit it, but once I edited it, told me it didn't exist (and disappeared from my list). Brady -- I think your junk's broke!! Razz

Sarah, I did get a successful pic upload. Try one of these ways:

1. Make your post, then open the "Upload Images" link in a new window. This way you won't lose your post.

OR

2. Instead of saving to draft, just post it -- then edit the post to add the picture.

OR

3. Click on the upload link directly from the post, then return to the post using your browser's back button once you copy the link.

OR

4. Host the pic and copy the link, THEN start your new post.

I tried of all these ways and they worked. Apparently there is something wrong with the draft feature of the site. Sorry! Embarassed

I'll choose what's behind door number 2. No prize! Good grief!
