I swear I posted this earlier, not sure what happened to it.
I made a new toon to be an uber. He's just in the early starts of TTC, hasn't started training for any gag tracks yet. I'm curious to see which is more desired for an uber.
TU/Lure
Sound/Lure
TU/Drop
Sound/Drop
The mommy in me wants to have TU, but I suppose I can do without it if I can train a doodle to speak a lot. Of course that may mean waiting a long time to get a DDL doodle I usually buy my doodles from DD since I can with a 1K bank.
So which to choose?!?!

TU / Lure and Sound / Lure are the most popular choices. I like Lure not only from a Uber perspective but also from a Big toon point of view.
That leaves Sound and Tu...Sound gets you thru the factory easier and randoms are more likely to take you. TU is good to have if you like to be a helper type toon for toons in the smaller playgrounds. My first uber has Lure/TU.
I chose Sound / Drop on my second uber to be different and take me out of my comfort zone plus seeing 2 black cat Sound/Drop ubers made me think about the challenge to max Drop and to be a cog killing uber machine. My toon has only completed the Sound track and remains at 25 laff. About half of the training tasks for Drop have been completed....I may upgrade him and complete Donald Docks when he takes on his first laff boost from the VP. Thoughts were he wouldn't be able to help with the 25laff and under tasks and taking a 25 laff up to HW15 was good enough for me......and I'm having thoughts of making him a cash uber....not sure.
Botton line.... do what you feel comfortable with!

IF, you feel you want a 3rd track, I would suggest LURE, if you wish to Solo factories and run mostly with CCG.
IF, you want to play for speed and with RANDOMS, sound as a 3rd track is a consideration.
Me, I'm happy with 22 gags, 2 tracks.
In over 400 VP's, over 100 victories on a 2 track Uber,:
1- I have NEVER run out of gags
2- I have NEVER gone sad because 2-3 toons used sound (cuz I make sure I have some SOS'es.

My first uber, Treading Water, is tu/lure. I was very dependent on lure and felt weak with out it. I ran factories mostly with friends or solo'd to avoid the random factor.
Fahrenheit started out to be a two track but I didn't have the patience to see it out. Instead he upgraded to 3 track sound uber. I worried about not having lure and whether I would feel like I was contributing full. It took a few runs, but I actually started feeling less pressure as a 3track. I will more often than not run him through the factory with randoms. I have to say that I love playing him more than any other toon I have to date and when paired with other toons with sound, I get such a rush pulling out that foghorn.
The uber I am working on now is supposed to be sound/drop but I imagine it will be a let down compared to the 3track so I have no idea what will be in store for him.
Bottom line is to see what you feel comfortable with and go with that.
