Since it IS the Gas out day, I thought it would be appropriate to start a new thread of how much everyone is paying per gallon!! I did this last year, lets see where we are at now...
Ok, I'll start, here in Michigan (Detroit Metro area), we are paying about $3.25/gallon....I'll post the cheapest price I see later.

Can I move down there? Right now in our neck of the woods it has been at $1.30 a liter. A really rough translation from liters to gallons and with the current exchange we are looking at a whopping $4.68 a gallon! Ok that hurts.
To top it off when I go down to Point Roberts WA to fill up it was $1.06 a litre last week(yes they post in liters there!) which translates to about $3.75 a gallon.
Getting to the point that we can't afford to go anywhere these days.
Audrey
Edited to fix my math errors on exchange rate.

After taking a ride around today, I realize now that we are actually 3.35/gallon!
Audrey, you guys do get nailed on the gas, don't you? Ever since I can remember, you've been higher than the U.S. My husband will be traveling once again to good ol Canada...I'm sure he'll be filling up before he leaves the states, but the return trip requires a fill up there in Canada. You guys have all those taxes on the gas (not just gas though)...which hikes it up even farther...gft and pft tax, right? He's making a trip next week for a day. Then the trips start again mid-June (3 year project...)

I saw $2.89 at the one on the corner which isn't the cheapest in town. Although the cheap places are probably only 5 cent less than that. Southeast, VA.

ROFL at pft, pretty much how I feel about our taxes pffffffffft. Actually it is GST and PST(goods and services tax and provincial sales tax. In the Easter provinces they have HST(harmonized sales tax, like there could be any harmony in taxes).
On top of that our local transit has added a surtax at the pump to pay for the upkeep of the busses and to try and get us out of our cars and into public transit.

I live on the west coast of Canada. I would love to hear from the Brits on this board though. When I was out there 14 years ago it was almost double what it is here now.

YIKES!!! I didn't realize that it was already over $3 a gallon in Michigan...how depressing, glad I am getting rid of one of the vehicles in July...sooner if I can. I got gas the other day on post and it was at about $2.83 I think, and I thought that was high. But...I have seen some lower that you all have posted, doesn't look like I am really saving that much. I try to fill up when I am on post because it is at least a few cents cheaper and I want to support AAFES (Army and AirForce Exchange Services). But...it doesn't always work out that way because I don't drive there just to get gas since it is about 30 minutes from where we live, would make any sense.

Isn't Canada like really pricey? Because on the back of some items I buy like a toy it will say the price of it in USA money and Canada price. It's always Canada with the higher price too.
