I saved up and bought a DDL doodle. I looked and looked to fine the right one. If I remember right, I got one that had as it's traits: seldom tired and rarely forgets. Yeah right. I got speak from 11 to 12. Sometimes Stargazer does really good, but other times (more often that the good days) he'll pop up the question mark. I don't get it. I'm waiting for the rarely forget thing to kick in. He recovers wonderfully. And forget calling him in battle. He works like 1 out of 10 times. It drives me nuts. But I try to make him do it 10 times and sometimes more after Boss Battles. I sure hope speak doesn't increment by 1 each time. I'll never max it out.

That sound like both of the doodle I have had. My last one was from the burrrgh!( or however many R's there are). She's listed as Average with no special traits. The first time you ask her to do a new trick she immediately does it, then it's 10-20 times to get 1 right. In battle forget it she just looks at ya.
I practice for about 1/2 hour of gametime a day with her, but she isn't getting any where any time soon.

Well, since Ian FINALLY quit selling my doodles {knock on wood}. Goliath and LRB each have a doodle maxed in jump. The best tool to train them was saying the phrases while gardening. I need to make Mary Quite Contrary start gardening in order to get her doodle trained. It really was the best way to train the jump command. I've started kind of doing speak or dance... can't remember which, but it takes so long that I seem to be sticking with jump when needed.
