Does anyone know why the secret friends changed to true friends? Was it just a name change or did any chat stuff change with it (meaning decreased or increased monitoring)?

I don't think any chat changed, although with some friends, I wonder why I even talk to them! Don't you hate it when you are playing with someone and they are watching TV? I'm talking to a SF in a building the other day, only the 2 of us there. I was asking him questions, and getting no response. I ask him if he got the question, and he responds, huh? What question? I say, "Where've you been?" He says, "Watching tv!" Grrrr...pet peeve!
I just think they "found a better word to use"? Maybe true friends sounds better than secret friends?

I don't have facts, only rumors but here they are:
1.) True friends, meaning someone you know in RL since that is what chatting was meant for.
2.) Had to get rid of the word "secret" because none of what anyone says is a secret now.

It got changed when they brought XD online. XD was supposed to let you know when any of your friends was on any Disney site, so you could chat with them whenever and where ever they were.
It was simply a name change at this point.

We all know that the secret thing isn't so anymore...they had to change it to TRUE FRIENDS....there's just TOO much monitoring going on with us adults here on TT!

I'm sure they know, but I guess they just don't do anything about it maybe? I bet someone on the toon council has seen discussions about sf's on ttc and ttf.

They have the council make toons to monitor. They also have the council go out to see who the best toon of the month is. Just keep it quite for a little longer. They're bound to find out, but for now be careful.
