This is what we just tested! They won't be able to buy certain things, make sfs or leave TTC.

I believe that you are also limited on the races you can do as well. So yes it is free and there is no time limited but you are limited in just about everything else.

Yep - that is what we tested in Test. You get the middle two toon spaces and can't leave TTC. The roads are blocked!
Some people forgot when they took tasks and took tasks for the Dock only to be stuck and unable to complete them. No point in being an uber if you can't get to Sellbot HQ

So being that I wasn't able to get on test at that time (and it's probably iffy even now) were you able to keep those toons you made during that time? What happend to the toons you had in the middle spaces before you tested this? Somebody wanna go water my trees and stuff? Feed my doodle? Heck by now she probably ran away and joined the circus!
Task today....try to get test working! (maybe )

They would have more people join if they let people go to Daisy Gardens and Sellbot HQ for free also.

I already had 2 toons in those spaces. Luckily, one was a brand new piggy. It is still there.
I would hope they would get to keep the toons and just unlock the rest of the functionality. That seems to be how it worked on Test (or how it was implied). They kept putting up signs that if you subscribe now, you could go in this tunnel

I made a new account to test this out, but it wasn't that fun-especially because you can't leave the ttc playground!

I did uninstall my regular TT and signed up for this "New" toontown. All it is is the trial version without a 3 or 7 day time limit.

Ya know, this could really help building a VP uber . . .
Step 1: Get a test account and make a new toon.
Step 2: Work toon thru TTC, max gags (3 tracks) - using your paid account to help
Step 3: Move toon to main account (might have to pay for it, but then you could cancel it when moved)
