| Loopy_Rainbow : | Yea, I had to read the last 3 chapters in my closet b/c the kids were loud and my sweet hubby kept laughing at me crying. My sis finally finished it last night so we could discuss before she left. My girls had their Harry Potter bday party this afternoon, so I am Harry Pottered out now. I'll have to attach a link when I have our homepage updated with pics. We had wand making (of course), study hall (writing w/ quills and ink), transfiguration (guessing game to figure out who you turned into by checking off who everyone else was - names on their backs), History of Magic (HP trivia), Potions (mixing drinks), fantastic Hogwarts cake courtesy of my sis, then Quiddich w/ water balloons. I'm exhausted, ready for my hubby to take me out to dinner with a BIG glass of wine, and then start re-reading my book.

You HAVE to get pictures of the party! I'm so jealous! It really sounds awesome.

Nerds? Addicted? A certain toon who will remain nameless (cough...Ricky...cough) was doing DA's last night reading the book! LOL I, who knows very little about HP except I saw a movie or two a long long long time ago, kept asking "So did Harry die yet"?
She stunk me! several times......
p.s. I have NO idea if Harry dies in this book. I was just being a pain in the behind. So if he happens to die or not die in this book you do not need to tell me that he didn't or did and I shouldn't have said that. <----any of that make sense?

ROFL! Heather, that sounds like something my sister would do. My sister actually read the book at work! I'm surprised she doesn't get in trouble for it.....
Nanner, I have't finished the book yet, but I'm pretty certain Harry stays alive. I really want to find out if Snape is evil or not....I'm not sure, but I think he's a good person. Hmm.
And most of it made sense, Nanner. It was just a little hard to read....

Ok my latest absence from tt has been because of HP! I took the kids to a Harry Potter party and we waited til Midnight to get the book. THe party was fun - they had the town decorated - with a Diagon Alley, a Hogwarts, a Leaky Cauldron - with Butterbeer (the local microbrew that also does sodas made a special butterscotch cream soda - Butterbeer)!!
I wanted to start the book as soon as I got home, but decided to start first thing in the morning. We went to the beach on Saturday, so I got quite a bit done then. Then yesterday I read before going to the fair, and finished after the fair!
I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't read it yet. But WOW - very well done!!! Very exciting! I love the epilogue, it took care of all the loose ends.

One of my sons is currently reading that book. Kudos to him for reading half of it in a day and only paying $20 for it!

We were on vacation, so I couldn't pre-order. But, it was pretty cool to be walking in an old shopping neighborhood in Pittsburgh and just picked it up at this hole-in-the-wall independent bookseller - loved it! So, I had to read and read and read (although I did take my daughter to the zoo and the aviary as well).
I can't believe this is the end. I will definitely have to read the book again!

Yea, I would have liked more info, too, in the epilogue. I was expecting to know a bit more from it.

Can we start a discussion thread? Label it spoiler so all who are slow readers (ahem Goofo) will know not to read it before they are done?

I finished the book and can't tell you how relieved I am that dear Jo plans an "encyclopedia" sometime. She says fairly soon (next couple of years or so) in the interview because she has all of her notes and such ready to go! YAY! We are not abandoned!

OK Goofo! We can hold off another day or so. Once I get that close to the end, it is soooo hard to stop!
Now, I want to read the whole thing over again (although I lent my book to a friend of my daughter's, hope it comes back).

Good luck on that. I'm still waiting on getting my hardcover HBP back from my s-i-l. I'm almost done with the second time through DH, maybe we'll have a quiet night at work and I'll get some reading done.
