| Littlespike : | | I hear there is an all volunteer vigalante force who goes after the griefers. But it's a super secret group, has wicked initiation rites, and is headed by some toon named.......{connection lost}....... {your IP has been flagged}...... (your system is being restarted}, .....{your hard disk is being reformatted }....... |
I know someone who has had a lifetime dream to be a vigalante towards those who harm children. Maybe you could send me the info and I can pass it along to <Toon>.

| Granny MoMo : | Granny doesn't have much experience with the DAs, so when she does go, she likes to try the puzzles... you know, to get some practice. More often than not I'm tripping the holocogs and then LOLing about it. Fortunately, I'm with friends who "grief with love" as Heather said.
For the most part, if I ever do play with randoms I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. As someone pointed out, it could be a kid. And this is just a game, something I do for laughs and to spend time with my online friends. When it boils down to it, I have more stressing issues in RL than to waste my time and energy over behavior on TT. |
How's the water in there today?

LS you scare me sometimes (HA! Think I can take him)??? Still stuck on that matching outfit thingy are you? Wow! How do I remember that?
My replies usually fall along the lines of "Thanks!"
"Are you trying to sweet talk me"
"I'm sweet on you"
Etc.
Do goofy emotes along with your phrases. Crazy scares some people
Sometimes that brings on more grief (bring it on)! or sometimes it stops them in their tracks going "Huh"?
Would I have ditched? Hmmm depends on how much fun I was having griefing back. More than likely? Yeah after I'd had a little fun. Goal....never ever let them win!
Think I've ditched 3 times (without friends agreeing to do so such as in a hopeless CJ) in all of my TT playing.

... but as a grown person you always have to wonder if it's a child who made the mistake. |
My son is currently is on a break because of this. He's barely old enough to play an E for everyone rating (which E starts at age 6) and "you stink" bothers him greatly.
When said to him even if he made an innocent mistake (at his age he does nothing intentional) brings tears and utter devestation.
He couldn't take the griefing and random "you stinks" from the TT bullys who did it for fun so he's not playing right now, in all honesty he's afraid to. The last time he logged out he was begging me to delete his toon. I didn't because I know he'll return eventually once and would like his dog there when he does.
Age 6 or 60 though no one should be made to feel like you were.

Griefing is cool if friends are doing it to each other. And if I make a booboo (Not u Princess), then I deserve it. I think that was my first time to EVER ditch due to griefing. If it were one toon, no big. Having 2 to do it was ok to a point. For some reason I blew a gasket, maybe from that days events. Who know. When I came back to the "D" Office vator, there they were. I wasn't going to run again. I deflected as much as I could. Maybe I need some anti-griefing lessons. Whatcha think? Thanks for letting me bounce this one off of ya. Ya'll are truly awesome!

I don't think anyone deserves grief for making a "booboo". Stuff happens, kids play and people have different ways of doing things. Lag causes things to seem different than they are. Anyone who can't just overlook a mistake and move on with their lives should be playing something that is not multiplayer, in my opinion. The whole attitude that you "deserved" grief for your mistake is what's such a shame!
As far as learning how to anti-grief or how much you should take - personally for me that varies from time to time. If I'm hurrying to get bucks for a run I would probably finish. Otherwise I would probably not find it to be worth it, but again I don't find randoms to be worth it most of the time. It's just up to you and what you're trying to accomplish for the moment. For me it's fun so if I'm not having fun I can go scrub a toilet instead!
"Griefing" your friends is completely different and is not really griefing at all.
