How exactly does the top toon rating system work? A few weeks ago I cleared 130 buildings, and the next day the top toon that was listed had cleared 104 or 105 buildings??? Is the top toons only taken from specific cities? If not, then how did 104 or 105 beat me? And besides that 2nd place was 87 buildings, and 3rd place was 84 buildings; so I'm confused.
Today I have cleared 115 buildings, and was going to shoot for 200, but don't know if I'm only wasting my time?

When ever a cog retakes a building you saved you loose the number of floors for that building. Soo your 130 floors when you logged out could have been drastically reduced by the cogs thus you loose the top spot.

As I understand, top toon of the day is just that, a daily thing. You were top toon for that day. The next day, that 104 or 105 buildings was top number cleared for that next day. It is not cumulative.

My mistake, the 130 was floors not buildings. I thought the count was buildings, but I stand corrected. Still, I've been playing all day today with the exception of maybe four hours combined and I am just now at 157.

Okay, I've seen where it says 11:59 PM Pacific time. WOW... that means people on Pacific time definitely has an advantage over those of us on Eastern time since we are 3 hours ahead. Allow me to put this into perspective...
Tom lives in California and Bob lives in New York. Bob turns in at 10 PM his time, which is 7PM Tom's time. Bob saved 140 floors for the day, but as he sleeps he loses 123 of the floors bringing Bob's count down to 17. Tom started his game play at 8PM his time and goes non-stop until midnight and clears 125 floors. So the end of the day results is Tom 125 and Bob 17.
That doesn't seem fair does it? Basically the only true shot those of us on Eastern time has at earning a slot in the Toon of the day is to stay up until 3AM playing the game, which for some of us might not be too hard of a task, but not for everyone. Disney needs to make this a fair shot for everyone.

I believe that people are confusing two subjects- top toon on the front page and the list inside HQs for Toon Platoon.
The front page top toon is cleared daily. I don't believe that the floor numbers are knocked down for buildings taken over. There is a running total for the day.
The Toon Platoon ranking is based on the number of floors taken over and you can lose your ranking if cogs retake over your building. This is not cleared on a daily basis.
I could be wrong on my assumptions.

It's not a running total because I made the list coming in 2nd place with 90, and yet my high was 163. So from the time I went to bed to 11:59PM Pacific time my 163 decreased down to 90. Before I logged off I went into another city (I think Nutty Summit) and seen two players at 220, first place is 131. that is so unfair.

My daughter and I made top toons for buildings once and we are on the East coast soo it is doable for us. We did buildings ALL DAY long.......
I always run buildings in the same district. If I had say 10 at the end of the day and none of the buildings are taken over during my absence, I come back into the same district the next day and build on my 10. Once you have a star is is pretty easy to maintain IF you run buildings each day IN the same district.
