PM question
View Single PostView Single Post

I thought I sent a PM yesterday and today but found both in my outbox. Confused I hit submit when finished with both - does that send the PM? I have sent other PM's and not had this problem before. And yes, I am internet, PM challenged.

It stays in your outbox till they read it, then moves to your sentbox. So if it is in your outbox, means they have not read it yet! Smile

Thats a great feature! Can you delete it if they have not read it yet?

Fascinating and cool! So I have a PM in my sentbox that has been read by all but one recipient. I am guessing it stays in my sentbox until all read it. And if I were to edit it, the nonreader gets the edited one and the others end up with a second one. By they way, I can't tell who hasn't read it here. I know because of who used their SF codes in the girl vs boy game yesterday.

I love learning new stuff. Thx!

Yep. If you sent it to multiple recipients you can not tell who exactly has read it.

And, Doctor Skids and I did a little experimenting to be sure, and yes you CAN edit the PM but you can NOT delete it and have the person not get it (you can delete it from the outbox but it still gets sent). That explains why my friend got 2 very different PMs from me that time!

So be sure before you click send!! Laughing

Tina, I am a member of another board that uses the same system, and once I sent the same person the same PM about 4 times before I asked the same question in their help forum....how embarrassing!! Embarassed

I was getting ready to ask the same questions..... I sent a PM around 5:00pm and it was still in my outbox at 11:00pm and thought ..."Ok... how in the heck did I mess up a simple PM".... Laughing
