Knowing our site rules
View Single PostView Single Post

Hi everyone! I know we have a lot of new members here and some of them seem to be jumping right in and spamming our members with requests to be True Friends.

Number one - Spam is not allowed, whether in PM or posts. If you read our site rules. as you should have done FIRST upon joining, you already know that.

Everyone, if you get such a request PM it to me.

Spammers: if you spam PM in such a manner you may get your PM privileges taken away without warning or explanation!

Number two: most of our members do not give codes to complete strangers. Please enjoy our forums and participate in discussions (WITHOUT SPAM!!!) and you will find yourself making friends before too long. Note - if you have nothing to contribute to a thread, but post anyway, that is SPAM and will be removed without warning.

Most of our members are adults and many of those do not give codes to minor children. Please respect that, no metter what their reason is (that is THEIR business, not yours!).

Everyone is responsible for reading the site rules. I will not post a link here. Do not post here asking where they are. They are easy to find. Read them. Then enjoy our site while keeping them in mind. This will allow everyone to have fun. Smile

So, if someone asks to be your true friend in a PM, that's spam and should be reported to you? I'm just wondering. Very Happy

Basically, yes - I would consider any unsolicited SF request in a PM to be spam.

If someone joins this site JUST to find sfs - they are at the wrong site. There is an entire forum set up for that at TTC. Go there and post away. Our members do not want to be bothered with unsolicited requests. Even if they don't really care, that's not what this site is for.
