Banned for saying words that didn't even pop up on anyone's screen. Man... I hate how Disney bans you for saying bad words to yourself. Ah well... I'll be back in three days :\

Why would you type them? They keep a log of everything we say, to others or not. I'm quite sure certain things get flagged.
If in doubt keep it to yourself.

Might want to watch it. Banned too many times and one of these times they may not let you come back at all.

I got banned as well for 72 hours. Told some friends I was going to bed because I was going with my daughter on a field trip to Augusta GA. BANNED the next morning. I certainly did not intend to break the rules and am now wondering if banning happens often.
On one hand I appreciate Disney for monitoring so closely because my kids play. On the other hand, give me a break. I am no longer sure where the line is. I think that it is very subjective. After reading the House Rules, I found that I have skirted, if not crossed the line in many of my chats. And so have the people with whom I have chatted. This is turning into more of a rant, but have only been TF'ing for about 3 weeks and already banned. Scares me a little. Actually, a LOT!!!

I keep expecting to get banned.
I say stupid stuff like "I forgot I stripped my son's bed. I got to go." (<-----actual thing from last night.) It apparently got filtered. My friend didn't see what I wrote.
Strange what bans someone and not others.

They filter the strangest things actually. I had someone trying to tell me about their son's birthday party, when I finally found out what they were saying I was like, HUH? What did TT filter that one? Then there are soooo many other things that are said that they don't filter that they should, yes...I am guilty. They need to have a set of SOP's because no one really knows for sure what they can or can't say on TT...its all a guess.

I am getting frustrated with their filtering numbers. Give me a break!! I was trying to tell BooBoo Fuzzysocks today that I needed 5500 options and 14400 notices and could not get these numbers across. Geez they are TT numbers.

I have seen several posts and none of them happy about how hard it was to get back on. But I have noticed a few things that must have changed since some of you have been banned. In the initial ban (sorry, account on hold) email, they sent a copy of the log where the offense alledgedly took place. It is also telling me that I must log on with my parent password (no phone calls) and re agree to their terms of service. Then I think their is something about praying to the mouse-god daily for a year, but then I should be back on.
Has anyone recently had trouble logging back in after suspension?

I had trouble with numbers not going through while chatting so I've started misspelling the words (very easy thing to do for me). Like if I need 75 more bucks, I'll type "I need sventyfve more bucks". It seems to have a better success rate of going through than the numbers.
Hope this helps.

I'm sure Disney has the finest intentions when they blank out numbers. There is not much difference (to a computer flag) between the number of something needed - merits, bux, etc. - and a phone number or address. It's just a bit hard to program a computer filter to distinguish between innocent dialog or rhetoric and a potential predator's inquiry for personal information. Likely scenario is that Disney would lose more on liabilities relating to placing someone in danger than for upsetting individuals who want more freedom of communication. I have also experienced the difficulties of getting something across to a TF. However, I side with keeping the kids safe. If Disney goes overboard with that, I count it my price to pay for playing a kids' game.
I also agree with a poster above... It makes no sense to type what's not meant to be seen/read. Disney won't understand the concept of whispering something because it was "to one's self".

I wonder if certain things are flagged and then maybe read after? Many times I've said "Sorry on the phone" and not have it go through (DUH I know better than to say phone but anyone else have a better idea of how to tell others why you are being so quiet)? But so far no warning or anything for saying the word. I've also said other blocked words often just not thinking and have yet to get a warning.....although never ever sing Happy Birthday to Bill (Crazy BooBooSmellysocks) and add the "how old are you" thingy at the end (HA! I got a letter...he got banned)

My motherinlaw was warned via email for saying to me in chat.. call me.. she didnt' know the rules.. She was frustrated with me because they filtered it and I never saw the chat... she said it multiple times.. and then she finally called me and fussed at me.. she thought I was being rude...LOL. The next day she had an email with stating she would be banned if she did that again..
Interesting... I guess I think its good they are so strict but really its a little overboard...

I can see where they wouldn't want you to give out your phone number in TT. That is personal info.
But just saying "Call me"?? Clearly you already HAVE the number. How does that in any way break the rules?? My friend got warned for telling me to e-mail him (misspelling e-mail to get past the filters). I already had his e-mail address, given to me outside the game. He was not trying to give me the address, that would have broken the rules, duh. Just said to e-mail him. That's ridiculous!
I don't mind having such strict rules. I love that they're trying to keep it safe. But they need to be realistic! And they need to let us know exactly what they are.

I agree with you Z! Let us know exactly what the rules are and don't make them up as you go along. I realize that as things change the rules made need to be tweaked but as of right now, we just don't know where we stand at times.
I have caught myself saying email on there also and phone...in fact I had a friend that was on the phone and I kept whispering and talking, eventually he was a little irritated with me, until we finally figured out that he kept typing that he was on the phone. I didn't see it....I know that sometimes people will use fone...but I am sure eventually that one will be off limits too.
Yes, clearly if you say call me, they obviously have the number and the same with email me, I have resorted to using the word letter somehow, I think it goes through...not quite sure now.
I am all about the rules as it protects the kids...but good grief who is going to protect us from TT and their unpredictable rules?
