Just a question, but is there a rule or pattern for when you do or don't get the lure bonus? If the is, it has escaped my knowledge, and would like to know what it is.

I saw a guide one time somewhere that said; The right most Cog usually gets it and the last COg standing usually gets it...This is not true however because I have seen the middle cogs get the bonus as well....if there is a hard and fast rule about which ones give it...I haven't seen the pattern.

Ok - I have recently done a study.
For those cogs in the factory or mints - the cog you 'touch' (ends up on far right) will always get lure bonus. The last cog standing always gets lure bonus. The other one (or two) are random on bonus.
I haven't done a lot of buildings lately so someone else can confirm if the far right cog in buildings always gets bonus or not.
In boss battles (VP, CFO, etc) lured cogs ALWAYS get bonus - when I realized this, I was very happy (and it took a long time!).

The first right most cog gets the bonus in buildings. On the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors in most 5 story buildings you can get a second 'set' of cogs... in the second set of cogs the right most cog may or may not get a bonus...usually not

Yeah what he said Also a hint when doing bigger cogs (ex boss battles, ceo golf thingys, mints, DA offices) if you're a trapper and facing a row of 11's. Don't trap the right one. My cake is planted (along with many toons) and we can take out the right one with our rockin cake with the lure bonus. Your TNT will take out any of them. If you hit the right one we stand there going ummm now what do I do all alone?

Good point duckie!
Using the knowledge of the lure bonus for strategy is crucial
It is nice when all the toons you are with know how it works and you just play along swimmingly.

Since I have been doing a LOT of building with Dawg lately, here is what I have noticed:
When you lure the first set of cogs, the lure bonus counts for all of them. However, if a second (or third) wave comes, you will get the lure bonus for only one cog. And it's not necessarily the right most one. I've seen it be the 2nd one on the right.

Okay, thanks. I don't know how much of that I'll remember, but I'll try...
