New Invasion District??
View Single PostView Single Post

The last two afternoons, I happened to be in Crazy River and there were very frequent invasions in the time I was there. Shocked This did not seem "normal" to me since I only see invasions in the busier districts and sometime Crazy Hills. Did I come across a "secret" place where other toons are doing invasions and there is not a big crowd? Question My mouse Princess Snappy Spacklecrumbs (who needs gag work desperately) was very thankful she found this district. Cool I'll keep an eye on this district and let you know whether or not it was just a fluke. Very Happy

A few days ago I appeared on Toon Valley (?) a couple of different times and they had quite a few invasions. I was going to go again and check it out but I got invited to the River so maybe later.

Since I'm gardening on all my toons I tend to land in strange districts a lot. Anyway I'm noticing more and more with invasions. My guess is toons sick of the shuffle and mess of River and even Summit are just using their own invasions with friends in a more quiet place? I know I've done it a time or two....well...when I actually HAVE invasions Rolling Eyes

I don't know what it is. Toon Valley one day was back to back Big Wig and then Mr Holly invasions. They were coming back to back and just those two cogs so I doubt it was toon-induced. Could be Disney's way to try to move us off the busy servers Smile

I think so, too. I have been playing in blue districts a lot for the last two weeks and I see quite a few invasions. The districts with the invasions seem to change daily. The reason why I think Disney is doing some of the invasions is that one day I was in a blue district for almost 2 hours and there were back to back ambulance chaser invasions. That was on a weekday morning, and it just seems unlikely that 8 people or so would keep calling the same invasion.

I agree that they're probably not toon-called. I was in Crazy River last night and first there was back-to-back Number Crunchers and then back-to-back Robber Barons and they all lasted longer than the standard ~8 minutes.

Well it's a really good thing that I agree with you because my soap box is currently in use in another thread. Sad

I was in some district I can't remember (but it was blue) and there was one Big Cheese invasion after another...maybe 4 that I know of. They did last longer than the ones in River, but from my experience calling them outside of River, they do seem to last longer. I'm thinking - just a hunch, mind you, so don't etch it in stone quite yet - that maybe the population of the district affects it, and as it goes up the length goes down.

So, I think they ARE toon-called (at least some of them, anyway). What do you have to say about that? Smile

I think the ThingyFairy doesn't like me. Neutral

I think the invasions last longer in other districts and in test because, I believe the the invasion has something to do with how many cogs are defeated. In River, more cogs are defeated simply because there are more toons there. When Lawbot HQ first opened, our invasions were lasting 10-12 minutes. Back then, if I help my book open long enough, I would be able to get into the red district eventually. Now, there seems to be a lot more toons, as the only way I am able to get in is to get a ride from a friend who has a friend set up as a TP toon.

I do believe that many players have become smart and they go off into a blue district in a group of 4 toons and call their own invasions if they have them. Since everyone can only one type of each invasion, I do think the Disney is experimenting with an invasion timer as well.

I've been playing in Nutty River for a couple hours tonight and there have been back to back Big Cheese invasions. I think my friend might be on to something. She believes that someone found a glitch and is doing it.
