On a Mint Floor: Why look in the Schticker Book?
View Single PostView Single Post

While playing the mints, I have noticed players running to a corner, opening their book, disappearing, and then coming out of the wall on the raised dais above. This is the floor that has the fun elevated maze and the giant rotating metal cog in the center of the floor. Advanced players (who know the trick) enter the room and take a sharp right, there is a laff point barrel hidden in the corner. They get right up close to the barrel, open their book, then disappear! What are they finding in their book! I have also been on the raised dias (after completing the maze, but before exiting the room) and seen the players come out of the wall! I want to do this, too!

Desperate to be cool too,

There is nothing in the book. It's just part of the glitch to open and close it. I'm not sure if opening and closing the book gives you the lag you need to do it or if it's just part of the glitch? I was a big help wasn't I? Very Happy

This is a glitch that lets you skip the maze. You get into the corner until your screen is kinda jumpy then open your book and you should be able to go into the gray area then look for the place where you should come out. I guess opening your book is what let's you slip into the gray. Smile If it doesn't work right away...keep trying.
ALSO, there have been a couple of times when I couldn't get behind the barrel into the corner and another toon had to give me a push.

You need to be careful while doing it. Once I ended up behind the pipes on the wall and couldn't get out. Embarassed Another time, I stayed in the gray and had to backtrack to the spot I glitched until I saw graphics again.

In simple terms, there is a glitch that, as Granny Frecklebee said, allows you to skip the maze. This glitch is done by wedging yourself behind the steel box next to the toon-up barrel. The screen jumps around (and sometimes turns grey), and then you open and close your book. Doing such will get you into the grey area outside the room. After that, you simply run up to the hallway past the upper floor to re-appear. Simply put, the book doesn't have anything in it, it just helps you get into the grey.

I agree with everyone else's answers! Very Happy Just wanted to let you know though, sometimes for me when running up to the second floor while in the grey, it never seemed to let me go up there. Sometimes you have to try it again a couple of times if that's what happens. Confused Good luck!

I can never get it to work for me and found myself spending more time trying then it would take to just jump. I guess I am in the minority because I don't bother with it and always jump across. More fun that way!

I had the same problem MST! I DON'T jump behind the barrel I wedge on the frontside of the barrel (right side) and the wall and click on another toon, I wedge to make the screen "wiggle" and then click on the toons arrow to look at their gags, then I click on my book and open then close it and I am THEN in the gray... I am aware of the other way to do it behind the barrel without the looking-at-another-toons-gags step, but I play on an Imac and can't do all the "lag"glitches and this is the ONLY way I can get that mint glitch to work on my setup...I have tried the other way PLENTY! LOL

Also IF you get trapped behind those pipes (it should only happen to you once Oof! Mr. Green LOL ) you CAN jump out of there just takes a while up against the wall where the pipes meet the wall.

I can't wait to try this, I am stuck in my home town teaching VBS (vacation Bible School) and my computer is in my new town! You guys crack me up with the speed of the replies! Not ten minutes after I post...there is an answer! Also... MC Gigglequack...could we be related? Surely there can't be that many Gigglequacks in the Toontown Area?

One of the great things I loved about this site...there are often people playing while they are on here and you get answers almost immediately. And if it's about ToonTown SOMEBODY here knows the answer lol.

Well, it's hard to not reply quickly when I check the site every 3-4 minutes for new posts, blogs, or blog responses! Shocked I'm not obsessed! Rolling Eyes
