Release Notes June 25, 2008
View Single PostView Single Post

June 25, 2008 [sv1.0.34.9]
The Toon Council is excited to announce the arrival of some Toontastic Member-exclusive items to Clarabelle's Cattlelog! There are five brand-new acting lessons and three brand-new clothing sets available for purchase by long-standing Toontown players within a special section of the Cattlelog. Check your next issue of Clarabelle's Cattlelog to see which ones are available to your Toon -- now and in the future.

Also, super-gardeners rejoice -- you can now plant a garden statue of any Toon in your account or any Toon on your Friends List! Four new gardening statues are available for purchase by expert gardeners with a Gold Shovel and a minimum of 639 Skill Points.

We have also added two new safety features. First, if another player is acting more like a Cog than a Toon, you can block them with the brand-new Ignore feature. Second, if a friend on your Friends List has decided to act less than favorable, and is breaking the Disney House Rules, you can escalate the issue to a moderator for review using the Report a Player feature. For more information on these new safety features, please [go to toontown release notes for link]

Known Issues: Chat between Disney DXD and Toontown is temporarily disabled. Also, Player Friends are not visible on your Toon's Friends List. We expect this service to be restored soon, thank you for your patience!

I wondered when these would come out. I'm not exactally a long-standing player, so it's probably gonna be at least a year until I can have any of these. It looks like they had to shut TT down to install these updates, so I hope the downtime is small today.

LOL. That's great. I'll give ubers beans for new emotes! Testers, are these giftable? Why are none of my 35+ friends online? Why did Disney reset my district? Why am I asking so many questions?

Hmmm I wonder if it's how old your toon is or how long the person behind the toon has been playing? On test all my toons are old but no beans so I never even checked on them.. (Mommy Nanner was the only one able to buy them since she had a few extra beans laying around) On open I have some newer toons but wait...they're poor too Very Happy I'll finish gardening sometime around the time I finish boss......so maybe 2010?

Nope no gifting....even to your own toons.

They didn't say anything about the new clothing? Hmmm? Nevermind...yes it does! Rolling Eyes

Now someone explain to me what Player friends are? Is that regular TT friends? SF's? They have to quit changing these names on me! I can't keep up!

I'd been crashing on test sometimes going into my house....hope that's been fixed if it's related!

Has anyone checked to see if this update has fixed the glitches in the mint/factory/etc?

I was online for a earlier this morning. However, I kept getting reset. I got right back on and even got into River (it was blue!). Got reset again after killing some cogs in the street. Gave up.
Lady Snappy (made in 2006) gets a new catalog tonight at 9pm. If I can, I'll try to gift the emotes.
My toon Funnyface has been around since 2005 or maybe earlier (was my niece's and I adopted the toon this spring), so she may have some good stuff in her next catalog. Cool She has tons of space for friends. Mr. Green

They were "fixed" in the builds / releases that had the new emotes and clothes on Test so I assume they are "fixed" on Open. I did try to do them on Test and all but one had been corrected.

It'll be fun to plant that statue!! Glad I maxed out Loopy's shovel. I look forward to the clothing with the gags on it, guess I'll have to delete some clothes to make room for that. Ironically I'm out of beans to gift, so can't give anyone any, sorry.

Strange that we can't gift them though, just like we can't gift the nametags. Those don't seem to change much! I have not been offered the same ones on varying toons just yet.

Bucky - sorry, been busy working on a Biology Thesis today (Zzzzzz) - will be on after lunch.

I still get that glitch of getting booted after CFO. Usually no biggie, except when you finally got River and could run some CFOs for a change.

We are able to plant a friend's toon in our garden? Am I understanding that correctly? I could have Bucky and his freak head right there in my garden?

What are the new emotes?

I think anyone who has Nanner on their list needs to plant her. I can multi-task at your estate. Feed and train your doodles, fish, water your trees (sorry...no flower planting), keep the crows away from your garden and just all around offer support in any area you need it. When you are gone I will go into your houses and mess things up along with taking all your jellybeans. Very Happy

As of this writing...TT is closed for maintenance. What is the point of test if they screw up open every time anyway? confused2

If someone plants CBBF on their estate, is he wearing his usual PJs? I think I'd scare my doodles if I planted big headed Bucky!!!

Nanner - are we now going to campaign to get our toons planted on someone's estate? How would you know if the mouse you planted is MST or Squeak E Valentine?

I'm attempting to log into TT now, taking forever due to all the updates I guess.

BTW - only 3 sets of clothing? I think I saw one with a bike horn, one with a banana peel and I can't remember the other one now. Would make more sense to have all 7 tracks available.

One reason (I think) is everyone on open wants the stuff yesterday. That's why boss battles are released on open way before they are ready to be there. I know the last 2 that I've been part of were nowhere ready to be on open and those of you on open saw that too.
