We have discussed this is other threads, but I decided to make a big one in the "Debate Forum".
Personally, I think Mountain Dew is the best. NOT Diet Mountain Dew. I think people might know why I do NOT like Diet Mountain Dew. I can only taste 10 flavors in Dr. Pepper so it lied to me. Water is tasteless. Pepsi copied Coke. Red Bull tastes like skittles, so it's good. Coke tastes pretty good. Sprite, 7-Up, and Sierra Mist are all the exactly same thing. Orange Juice is boring. Apple juice is boring. All fruit or vegetable juices are boring.
So...What is, the best drink?

Sonic's Cherry-Limeade. You have your carbonation, your fruity goodness, sweet but not too sweet, and real cherries and lime slices in the bottom. And if you go at Happy Hour it's half price. And don't forget the ice they use. Did you know you can go to Sonic and buy bags of ice? I keep it in my freezer at all times!

You go to Sonic to buy ice??? In terms of soda (pop, soda pop, or whatever you call it), my favorite is also Mountain Dew. It kinda wins by default because that's the only soda I drink. I like the non-diet stuff if I can get it past my mom, which isn't often, but I'll still drink the other stuff. In terms of breakfast drinks, I like apple and especially orange juice to start the day. When my dad's home (travels a lot for work), my sister, dad, and I drink about 2 or 3 of the 64 fl. oz. orange juice cartons a week I'd still have to say that I'll drink water any time. I grew up without drinking much else, and still don't drink much soda. I never drink milk (unless it's chocolate!), so I have water at pretty much every meal.

Our household is split....since we have a diabetic in the house, we have diet drinks. Then we have the rest of the crew that likes the regular stuff, just what is the regular?
Mountain Dew and Diet Mountain Dew
Pepsi and Diet Pepsi Max (Love the max stuff!)
Vault and Vault Zero (Yes, I let my kids have that stuff...why not?!?)
Of course our fridge is always stocked with water, milk, and juices.
The ultimate drink? I'll have to say Energy Drinks....gotta love em!!
We do drink a lot of water though.
Oh, and LadyZ...we just got our first Sonic here in Michigan, it's downriver though, a little ways away from us. I'll have to check out the Cherry-Limeade...sounds good!!

LOL when we first moved out here from KS my dad always talked about his limeade from Sonic as we had one out there. Not the cherry though just the lime. Whenever we were back in KS we HAD to go there so he could get one. Well, now I have one like three min from my house though I just got the kids Slurpees. Yummy as well. Though if this is for soda then Pepsi all the way. Just regular ol pepsi and Dr Pepper every now and then. Personally I have never tried the energy drinks and don't think I will cause not sure how they will affect me and not sure I need something to hype me up all day long.
Edit: LOL yes they do have some good ice. The only place that I will eat the ice from after I finish the drink.

Bucky, you wouldn't ask that if you ever had it. I don't use it all the time, but it's just perfect for certain beverages!

I see commercials for Sonic, but have yet to actually see one anywhere around here. They do make the drinks look good on TV.
Water is my passion, but if I am going for flavor, I love Mountain Dew, Code Red Mountain Dew, Coke and Jazz Pepsi- strawberry whatever. I'm overly sensitive to caffeine and sugar, so I don't indulge too much.
EDITED to add: Dr. Pepper is good stuff too! Just saw Zippy D Doda's post about it. Yum.

As far as I know, no Sonic has made it into the Cheese State. If it has, it's not anywhere near here. We have Culver's, though! I'm not a huge ice person. I'll ask for drinks without ice, unless it's water. It makes room for more of whatever drink it is, and I'll drink it up way before it gets warm.

My vote is for Sonic's Unsweet Tea with Raspberry LadyZ is right, there is no comparison to their ice. I'm told we can't but bags of their ice around here though - rats! I have not tried the limeades yet, not sure what my feelings are about limes in the bottom though.

What on earth is a SONIC? Sounds like a video game! And the all-time winner, no-holds-barred, best-in-the-world, liquid form of bubbly is Coke Classic. Diet Dr. Pepper is second. Diet Coke is down the list quite a ways. 7-up/Sprite/Sierra Mist is what mom makes you drink when you're sick, hence bad connotations! My daughter recently introduced me to Jet Tea Smoothie, Wildberry Blast flavor, and I have to say that stuff is pretty awesome--best smoothie I've had to date).

Lady Z we have the same thing in our freezer, my cousin goes to Sonic every morning and gets a bag and sometimes we have to go in the evening. We had a ban on our water for 2days and all the restaurants closed, I didn't think we would make it. As for drinks....from Sonic I like pecherry (peach and cherry)sprite. Sorry SpiderPig your soooooooo wrong 7up, sprite and Sierra mist are not all alike. Sierra Mist is in a class by it's self and it is very refreshing and the rest are nowhere near as refreshing.

Coke Cherry Zero is my current favorite.
The closest Sonic to me (I've never been to one), according to the map, is about 35 miles. I'd say it looks at least 50 miles. And I'd have to drive through the creepy Pine Barrens to get there (can you say Jersey Devil? ). Doesn't look promising.

Z, I'm right there with you on the Sonic Cherry Limeade! That drink just rocks! I get the Route 44 size everytime we go. And it never seems to get old with me. Right behind that is Mountain Dew! But because of my diet, I can't have too many of either. But, when I do, they are both just heavenly!

My favorite sodas are Mountain Dew for the caffeine, Dr. Pepper and Classic Coke (remember all that dramatic hullabalooo over New Coke?--yes I'm middle-aged).
Husband would say the best fast food drink is Chick-fil-et's Lemonade. I say their Sweet Tea is yummy (but Cracker Barrel makes a good sweet tea too). Ohh, we could get into another big debate over the best sweet tea -- I sure did miss it when we moved to Texas in the 90's or visited my parents when they lived up North and restaurants didn't know what sweet tea was (except Cracker Barrel).
That Sonic drink sure sounds good, though. I've never tried it, but will soon now.

Well, without the official poll counter...sounds like Sonic drinks are winning. Cherry Dr Pepper with Extra Ice...Yep from Sonic.
My favorite sick time drink would have to be sprite. You can sit it by your bedside and sleep all day and when you wake up...it doesn't taste icky and watered down. As for Tea, that just tastes like watered down water to me. (I know but I can't explain it any other way). Water is what I drink the most with LOTS of crunchy ice.

You're right Bucky. None here. We did go to one in the east somewhere once.
The ONLY thing I drink...and I do mean the ONLY thing is A&W Root Beer (NO not diet....yuck)! For years and years and years (except one trip out of the country I had to make due with Sprite since my only choices were water, coke or sprite)
