I am pretty sure that I was a winner in the Ides of March contest - Funnysmirk was on the winners list and I have never seen but ONE of me in names before. I contacted TT and they said they don't contact you if you win, you just have to wait. How would anyone know for sure if they won? They told me if it was me I should have my movies by the end of June. I realize June is just over but still no movies. My dd was really looking forward to getting them. Any body have a idea on whether they really award those prizes and how you can find out if you should have gotten one?

I'm pretty sure that if you win, you get the prize. I've never entered for a TT contest...

I had a friend who won a contest or was runners up(?) about 4 yrs ago. She waited forever for her tshirt.
I know that doesn't help, but?

If it is a computer generated name, it is difficult to know if it is "you" who won. CONGRATS, if it is, so very sorry, if it is not.
The first contest I entered was about our Doodles. They sent me a confirmation e-mail, but it took months to get the 'Scene-It' game we had won.
I entered a Gardening contest the other month and although I didn't get an email, I saw the winners names, (and the pics, so I knew it was my toon). I was SHOCKED when the Mickey Beanbag chair arrived in less than 2 weeks! (The congrats letter was in the box with the beanbag chair).
Fingers Crossed for you,
Michele
P.S. Let us know what happens!

Actually my daughter created the name after looking at a volume of generated names. I guess I make a lot of faces and she felt that Funnysmirk summed it all up so she typed it in but it could have easily been a generated one. I just found it odd that they don't normally notify winners, according the the email I got, and that they couldn't confirm my information. I will let you know, that is if I ever know.

My toon, Vavoom Baboon, was one of the New Years Day Marathon winners this year. I've given up hope that I will ever receive the Toontown magnets that they promised . My daughter won the same contest the year earlier. I think it took over six months until she received her prize.

I've won the New Year's Day prizes twice. Of course, Miss PoutyFace might be more unique. I was on the list of winners but got no confirmation. The prizes came in a few months, so maybe you are still in the running!
I have TT pins available if anyone is interested

I won a New Year's contest and it took over 2 months to get my prize. I was a founder for POTC and that prize took about 6 months to get. My friend won a TT contest 2 months ago and hasn't received her prize yet.
If you see your name listed as a winner, you usually know if you won or not by how much time you spent doing whatever it was that the contest was for. You just have to forget about it and then someday you will get a surprise package in the mail.

That seems to be the story I hear a lot. Forget it and be surprised. Founder for Pirates too and a friend I play with there got her stuff well over a month before I did (she's in CA so that might have been it)? Anyway the funny part is after waiting that long to get my founders kit I then, about a week later, got another one! (not the cloth map...only one of those....but 2 sets of the flag and booklet thingy)

Yes, I won the Valentines Poetry contest. I do not believe I was notified. I actually found out I won one day by going to the site and seeing the winners posted there.
I did receive the prize, a IPOD Nano a few weeks Later with a letter enclosed with it.
Congrats and I hope you did win...

My wife and I both had our toon names on the winners list for the Ides of March backstabber contest. We waited and waited for the DVD's. Finally my wife called customer service and was told that if we did not receive an email notification then it was not us on the list. The customer service rep said there are dozens of toons with the same name. We have both been playing for years and have NEVER encountered another toon with my name. With that in mind I did a little math and calculated over 34 million possible name combinations just from the "create a toon" options and that does not include creating your own name. The odds of both of our toon names appearing by chance on the winners list is less than 1 in 1-quadrillion (1,000 trillion). I don't ever expect to see my DVD's, but it sure would be nice if someone at Toontown was in charge of being responsible.

Well, when we contacted them at the end of June via email. I just got the response last Friday and they said they do not do emails for that type of contest, never have and never will/ They said it is because you would see if you won just by looking at the top toon lists for that day if it is a "number of kills" type contest -- (sounds strange to me) and the email went on to say that those prizes have not been mailed yet as they were delayed in arriving. My character was played for over 24 hours straight that weekend so I can't imagine that it is any other toon. I was also listed as one of the top toons that weekend so my guess is still that it is coming. They told me if I haven't gotten it by the end of July to contact them and they will research it further. I just find it odd that they can't research it now?
I have a toon friend who was on the top toons for the day during a contest and should have been a winner for a "number of kills" contest a year ago and she says she didn't get and email either and finally got her notebook and toon cards almost 6 months later.
Thanks for all of the help though.

My daughter won one of the art competitions and the stuff just arrived in the post. We only knew she had won as her picture was printed in one of the newsletters.
