So many toons, such a hard decision
View Single PostView Single Post

Ok, sooo Aunt Trixie maxed her gardening today and bought the Toon Authority Statue. 5000 BEANS?!!!!

My dilemma is which toon do I want in my garden, so yes I am making a poll.

I have listed several toons with the reason for picking them. I have sooo many more but not enough room to list them all. I could just plant a different toon each week but did I mention 5000 beans!@!!!!!

I went with a toon we don't see around a lot anymore. After all - aren't statues to commerate something that is missing?

Plant your kid's toon or family's toon.
It has many benefits.

I planted my wife, I am happy, she is happy and the kids like that it doesn't boss them around.

The kids want to plant each other since they are each others best freinds (for now).

So I voted for Penny!

I voted for your first friend who still plays because I just think that it's nice to celebrate long-time friends.

I agree with the family selection, which in the poll is Captain Louis, but what about Fraidy Cat????

There are SO MANY important considerations here. Not a decision to be made lightly!! You gotta worry about what this statute (1) says about you (cheesy vs. classy), (2) says about your friends (loony vs. sane), (3) says about the value you place on your various friendships ("OMG, she likes ___ better than me! WAAH"), (4) does to your estate property values (do you know how hard it's gonna be to unload real estate that's littered with huge garden statuary?) Laughing

After grave and serious deliberation, I voted "other." You're the only one who's going to see this statute for the most part (unless you hold wild parties at your estate all the time? In which case, can I come to the next one?) So plant whichever toon you feel like planting! This is all about you, what you want, and your opinion is the only one that counts! Not only that, but there are important psychological factors that come into play here as well--If you plant what you "should" plant, based on familial/societal/etc. standards, instead of what you "want" to plant, then it will only cause future anguish within your soul and would undoubtedly be indicative of some deep psychological issue (hmmm, although I suppose we wouldn't be playing this game if we didn't harbor at least something unusual within our psyche?) Mr. Green

Having said all that, the answer to your dilemma is plain and simple. WHY WOULD YOU WANT A STATUTE OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CAT??? Come on! Everyone knows felines rawk!!! Tall, short, fat, skinny, color, name - none of that matters--as long as it's FELINE!!

Viva la feline!! (BTW, nice poll!!)

Princess Penny is my daughters' first toon. Nanner would be proud since it is a duck.

Okay, I voted "other". Here's an idea. Since it is 5000 beans, plant a different one each month--in the order of your poll. That way, you don't spend too many beans too often (bucky can do the math here), yet you see your great toony friends as a statue for a month. Very Happy
Good luck! Very Happy

I know Loopy and Squeak E are generally overflowing with beans due to not doing more than turning in more tasks for beans, so planting a new statue each month would be no biggie to me. You'll have to defeat lots of cogs to get through those 23K options, so you'll have lots of tasks to turn in for beans, so it should be easy to buy a new one each month Smile

Owooo, I like that idea. Kinda like a flavor of the month. Toon of the month at the Nickelbumper estate. Very Happy

Can you plant your pirate? Razz

Cheesy vs Classy? Ducks are top class. We dress the best, we sound the best, well....we're obviously the cutest! Cheese is for mice!

Loony vs Sane? Since I truely doubt that Aunt Trixie HAS any sane friends (or toons) I don't think that one applies here.

I have to say that planting the toon who started it all is a very good idea....since she IS a duck and all.....(and my kid likes her Very Happy)

As for changing it often? Hmmm don't you have to actually GET your thingys to earn the cogs needed for the tasks that pay out the big beans?

I like the idea of changing it around as well. It would be hard to pick just one toon to plant forever. I figure if you have two that are the exact same then neither will know that it isn't them lol. Does the toon statue take away the other statue? I kinda like my Mickey one. Can you do a toon from your same account or do they actually have to be a friend? So many questions and I guess I could just wait 21 more days and find out eh.

Thought I'd stumbled into some bizzaro TTF when I saw a poll from you LOL.

Yes, it does replace the Mickey statue you have. Theoretically, using the example I had earlier, if you have two friends who are tall skinny female pigs, they wouldn't know which one of them you planted. That is a good choice if you can't pick though Smile

I cannot remember if you could pick a toon from that account to plant.

When you go to plant the statue your friends list appears. As you go thru the list you see the toon that goes with the name. As for planting the Princess Penny statue, she is a short fat duckie so I can get away with calling her my Nanner statue. Confused

Yes, MST, I did make the poll. Shocked Scary huh? Are all the planets aligned or is it the end of the world? Who can say? Maybe I have been hit over the head and sunk my ship so many times I am still groggy and don't know what I am doing. Pirates will understand.

I guess it was the best way for me to get an opinion from others.

Were you able to pick a toon from the same account though Tina? I remember the friends list appearing and you could go down the list and see the toons, including what they were wearing at the time, but cannot recall if I could plant someone from that account.

Well, I think Terri summed it up best (she really oughta be a writer if she is not!).
I have to agree with most people in that I can't buy art because I can't imagine living with something forever Smile
