Hi everyone,

Some of you know about the frustration we've had over the past week due to getting an unexpected dump of a foot or more of snow. Well, yesterday morning we suffered our first real casualty when Audrey slipped on our icy driveway and broke her ankle. She needs minor surgery to insert a small plate to hold the pieces of bone together so it can heal properly, and therefore spent the night in the hospital. This is normally done as day surgery, but there's quite a wait for the operating rooms and she keeps her spot higher on the list as long as she stays as an admitted patient. At this point we don't know if the surgery will happen today or tomorrow. The good news is the doctor says it's a "good" break, meaning it should heal fine without any lasting problems.

Thought you'd all want to know, and wish her well when you see her online again.

I also thought it might be nice if those of you who have her toons on your lists might want to send flowers to her mailboxes - hee hee. Her toons on open are: Lady Melody Petalface, Miss Calculation, and Purple Monkey (as yet unnamed). Her toons on test are: Cat Astrophe, Lil Piglet, and Cordelia.
