Thanks, PTT! I'm really not trying to "get at" anything, and I am not judging anyone as a tester, but the post on TTC made me think, too. She was asking for people not to do that glitch on TEST. Yeah, I know it's considered a rude glitch and I know WHY they don't want people to do it. I've heard all the arguments against it and have used many of them myself. But it did get me thinking that TEST is the perfect place to try out these glitches. LOL, I'll bet the guy doing it there is not doing it for scientific purposes (like reporting it and telling them exactly how he did it) but it seems to me the perfect thing to do. I might try to duplicate it next time I'm there, so watch out  .
I have been on test for 3 years and it always seemed to me that the players I knew there were more interested in the cloistered environment aspect than anything else....unless something BIG comes out. LOL, someone actually said once "don't report that; they'll shut us down and we'll have to go to open!"  Personally, I think there are too many problems they need to fix NOW before coming out with something new! No, I don't report the wall glitch every time I see it. My question was do people report glitches; not do they report them every time. I see what you're saying about that and I also see how I may have been unclear there. I do report most stuff I find on test even if I am fairly sure they know about it. I also get a nice thank you note in response, often with a request for more info, to almost every bug report I have ever made. They sometimes tell me they are aware of the problem, which tells me I don't need to report it anymore. How can I be sure that just because they've gotten 10 other reports, I can stop reporting? Maybe they think they fixed it and they need further reports to tell them they haven't? Just my thoughts, YMMV.
The biggest thing that struck me in that and other posts on the subject (and this is completely off topic from my OP) was that people want to stop others from using glitches THEY don't like, while wanting to keep access to the ones they do. I'm really surprised more don't see the double standard there. As long as the VP glitch is there, there WILL be those like BT who thinks it's the bomb and will do it every chance they get....and why not, if TT doesn't seem to care about it? _________________ Lady Zippy Boingenpretzel, 127, no trap, Stinky lure!
