When I checked the tech forums, I saw that there were similar complaints when playing graphic intensive games with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP but unfortunately no solutions. It is onboard video with most likely 64 MB of RAM and there really isn't a way to upgrade it.

I wish I could have been more help.

Boy, am I glad this post got bumped and I saw this.

I have that problem with my laptop. I can't seem to upgrade the ATI that came with the unit. Is there really no way to upgrade it?! I can get an update from their site but in the middle of installation it always tells me I "need to insert disk 2" or something like that (I don't HAVE a disk Confused

). I keep meaning to call the Help Line but haven't gotten around to it and of course they are not open when I think of it. Rolling Eyes

But I absolutely can NOT play TT on it, no matter how good my connection is. I can garden or fish, but if I try to TP more than one place I lock up and as Tommy said, I can't even do a ctrl/alt/delete. Sad

Edit: One thing I do that has helped is to ask TT what I need. Yeah, sometimes you really DO need to update your drivers...LOL! You get on Live Chat and ask them to help you figure out what's causing your lag. They will have you file a bug report right then and there, which allows them to see what you have on your system (video cards etc). They will even give you the site URL for upgrading your stuff. I even went back to them once when I was having trouble and they referred me to the exact upgrade for my unit, where the NVidia site didn't have specific units listed. So TT gave me the site for ATI; mine is sadly out of date. It used to play TT great but should have been updated well over a year ago. Sad
