I don't know how to put someone on "ignore" so someone else will have to answer that question. 
I don't think they have a standard phrase for explaining getting disconnected.  I wish they did though, but I guess for now we'll just have to use the phrase, "Sorry, I had to leave unexpectedly" and hope that the toon will understand what happened.
