The first time I realized I wasn't the only adult playing TT was during the first month I played (on my son's green cat). Before that, I was pretty sure I was the only psycho adult on this game, but I was ok with that cause I was having a blast (and I was doing it for my son, you see, and not for me, HEH). This was before I'd looked up TT on the Internet for forums, etc. Before I had any SFs.
Late one night (best playing time is when everyone else is asleep--no interruptions that way) a non-SF friend asked if I would help her. I TPd to her and found myself in front of a 5 story in DDL. YIKES! I hadn't ever been in a 5-story before, nor had I been in any buildings at all in DDL. I had gotten killed a few times by cogs on the street in DDL and I'd learned to stay away from that place! But there were a couple of 100+ laffers standing there with my friend, so I jumped on the vator with them and went to face my doom. My friend discoed partway through the building, and it was obvious my pathetic gags were virtually no help, but these two 100+ laffers kept me alive. It was one of those ugly 5 stories where cogs keep coming out in droves on the top floor. Their names were "granny" something-or-other and I thought, what a strange name for a kid to pick. And what a strange time of day for a kid to play, unless they live in Hong Kong or something. They kept telling me what a sweetheart I was (I was on a boy toon) and a few other things that made me wonder about their age. Then when we finally finished the building, one of them said, "Toodles." And I thought, "OK, there is NO WAY a kid is going to say "Toodles"!! (First time I'd ever seen that speed chat.) Mixed with all the other stuff they had said and the way they had played, I decided that they had to be adults, too. Shortly after that I looked up the forums online and found a whole ton of TT-playing adults like me!
BTW, if there's a whole lot of us, does that mean we're not psycho?? Just wondering! _________________ Fear--Until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore, you will not know the terror of being forever lost at sea.
