You need to wake the cog up to get the lure points.... Sound will wake him up and you will get the points when using sound but you did bring up a good point about not letting the cogs wake up on their own. My favorite way to work 3 gags: First Lure then Sound Repeat Lure, TU, Sound until cogs are dead. Sound just don't get the knock-back bonus. When I'm battling in buildings and I know that the cog is going to be killed, instead of throwing another pie or squirt gun on the pile I will lure...sometimes it hits and sometimes it doesn't.
