Is it only the Vista lappy getting booted? I'd be more inclined to think it's the router, but there's so many different things it could be. I have regular boot probs too, and I have a Vista lappy (and XP PC). I've been trying many different things to narrow my problem down, but I've yet to figure it out completely. I definitely get the boot more often wireless than wired. Definitely get it more often on the Vista lappy than I do the XP PC. I tried the router port triggering thing, and it helped, but I still disco. I took the router out altogether and went straight through the modem (which is a good way to figure out if the prob lies with your router). Banana Brain had a good post about various things to try, too (it's down the page a ways): http://www.toontownfriends.com/toontown-discussion8200.html I know how frustrating it is to keep getting booted! Sorry you're going thru that! And I would Love to see a pix of the sweet pink lappy!!

My son has been saying that he's getting booted off of WoW, where he never has before on XP. We bought him a gaming computer, a desktop, probably spent too much for his ($1,400), but it was something that Daddy approved. It's a HUGE computer, we were laughing when he took it out of the box!! The thing must stand 2 feet tall!! Anyway, back on track here...he's experiencing disco's also, and he's on a hardline, not even connected up to the router. BUT, I did talk to hubby last night, he stated he used the default system when he hooked up the router, so, going to play around with it a bit.

I did hook up using just a hard line, and I experienced just 2 disconnects, but that was in just about an hour period...so I figured, I would be just as good without the line.

Banana Brain, How are things going since you reconfigured all of that?!? I am definitely going to try to work with the router today, even though it seems the problem seems to be leaning more toward Vista? Usually hubby's the one to take care of things like that, but I'm not going to wait another week for him to come home to work on it! Thanks for the info...
