It seems if I sat two jurors then I had a bonus weight of 1. No bonus for just one juror if I am remembering correctly. You wouldn't have bonus if you didn't have extra gavels anyways. You only get that when you have the extra cogs on the sides. I hope it isn't easier. As boring as it usually is, it is far from boring when there are 10 cogs and a bizzilion gavels. 
The one Wed I thought for sure we would at least have the one gavel in front of him, but we had no extra ones. Though only six toons, three were BW and two of those maxed.
