I lived in Columbia, MO. 2 hrs west of St Louis. There is a fault line there. I was told there is a fault comparable to San Andreas in Missouri. Does it go N/S or E/W? I don't know? That is called the New Madrid Fault. It runs N/S. Last big one was in 1811, 1812. The Mississippi River ran backwards and created Reel Foot Lake(sp). That quake was felt all the way to Boston. Growing up in Memphis, I remember several small earthquakes, nothing compared to the ones I felt in Calf. Remember that big one where the river ran backwards do you?
