I lived in Columbia, MO. 2 hrs west of St Louis. There is a fault line there. I was told there is a fault comparable to San Andreas in Missouri. Does it go N/S or E/W? I don't know? That is called the New Madrid Fault. It runs N/S. Last big one was in 1811, 1812. The Mississippi River ran backwards and created Reel Foot Lake(sp). That quake was felt all the way to Boston. Growing up in Memphis, I remember several small earthquakes, nothing compared to the ones I felt in Calf. Remember that big one where the river ran backwards do you? Wow the things you old people have in your memory banks is amazing BRAT!!! Yes and we walked to school barefoot in the snow, uphill, both ways.
