I have started using my 7's because they are FUN...I COULD NOT WAIT to get them. So "working gags" wasn't that much "work" it was FUN! On Mr Chipper Gigglequack I played each gag right up to the point of getting the next one on the next use (sometimes it took 2 depending on what the next one was) but I got them to where when my son got on in the morning, *He* earned the New gag! Let me tell you, the math on that was confusing in a bld "did I use that on the first or third floor?" But I had the joy of hearing him so excited about his new gag that I had another reason other than "not wanting to be the toon in the battle with the worst gags...in a boss battle I think we all expect -50 out of a foghorn or 100 out of a Cake (YOU BETTER HAVE THROW MAXED or you ARE LAZY). I *TRY* to play with the idea that it might be a kid on that toon so I give 'em a break. But I also have this feeling like, "Why should *I* have to use all my 7's to get us out of this all because your gags weren't good enough?" and I also feel like too many toons (VP it's more evident than anyplace)they EXPECT you to do all the work and they'll just take their rewards. It takes TIME I understand to max them but it was TIME *WE* (I say 'we' 'cause I'm finally there ) spent doing it and you should do the same. It was repetitive and BORING at times yes...but it sort of emanates this Selfish Vibe not to.
I also think the kids don't have any shame about it. As adults, I think you are cognizant of what the other Toons think of you and/or your play..."are my Gags on par with everyone else here, and is my Laff comparable to theirs where I could be one of their peers?" Maybe that's just me... But I felt embarrassed when my Piano wasn't at 100 points damage so I went off in some abandoned buildings and built that puppy up alone! So *I* could be the one to take that 12 down and NOT have to rely on the toon next to me....and NOT have to hear the imaginary groans that were surely taking place at the hands controlling the toons I'm with when they're expecting "BOOM" and they get "bang". ON THE FLIPSIDE of that same emotion is the double standard I sometimes have for that. UBers...I never think "less" of them for only having two maxed gags (or just 2 tracks period LOL)when I find myself next to one.I mean, why do we find it almost as challenging as they do to keep them happy? Friends and people I know...I'm GLAD to help them out and even protect them, heck sometimes it's even a little power trip when your toon is BIGGER! Kids(albeit a mature one) like Bucky Badger, don't always have the luxury of playing past midnight (or Shouldn't!) and have other things that are rightfully more important to be doing like studying for a drivers test! (good luck) they don't bother me at all to play with.
I've found, just like in RL...I have good days and bad days, good moods and bad moods, sometimes my toon is moody (tired LOL) and doesn't forgive alot...sometimes he's Chipper and doesn't care WHAT you do HE'S gonna win!
I've also run the back nine and done a couple of CEO's with alot of MONSTER toons (I think I saw a 137?)some that were horrible players... even by my adjusted-for-kid-play-scale standards. Maybe it's the V2's? maybe they are rusty? But I see alot of rudeness from them...and they aren't a product of the population boom in TT.
I've said it before, but to me, the districts are like cities... people act different in different cities. Nutty River is Hollywood, everyone wants to be there and there's no room... so everyone there wants you gone. All the "freaks" seem to congregate there and it is where I always run into the most unsavory behaviors.
OOps I've rambled again!
and for the record...I didn't *Steal* My sons toon...I COMMANDEERED HIM for his own safety! _________________ Mister Chipper Gigglequack 119 lp Trapless Cool rubber duck with Homegrown drop... Fresh picked Organic Toontanics on the menu daily- HW50 RB50 Back Spin Doctor Big Cheese
