| Ok - I have recently done a study.
For those cogs in the factory or mints - the cog you 'touch' (ends up on far right) will always get lure bonus. The last cog standing always gets lure bonus. The other one (or two) are random on bonus. I haven't done a lot of buildings lately so someone else can confirm if the far right cog in buildings always gets bonus or not.
