There has been hostility on the forums between high laffs and low laffs ever since I first started visiting the forums. It IS annoying when toons follow you around begging to be friends and not taking "Sorry I can't." as an answer. But that happens to low laffs too. I don't consider myself a high toon by any standards, I am now a 79 but I had a 107 following me all over DG two days ago friend begging. I *usually* say "Sorry I can't." if I don't have anything taskwise in common with someone. Exceptions for CCG members and friends, of course.
The thing that bugs me most is that it seems like high laffs have now taken over TTC in NR. After ALL the complaining that small toons should stay in their own areas now you can't go to TTC in NR to work gags as a small toon because you have 55s all the way to in the 100s STEALING cogs from the low laff toons. Selfishly using gags that toons in TTC don't have to defeat the cogs before the small toon can even use their own gags. And yes, I call it cog stealing when a small toon politely refrains from using a gag until other toons can fully engage in the battle only to have the *joiners* hijack the cog with lure/trap or high sound thus killing the cog before their squirt/throw can even try to make contact.
My opinion is if you don't belong in TTC, STAY OUT! Or don't even try to make anyone feel sorry for you for having small toons in areas "they don't belong in".
One other thing, if your task is to help a toon under 25 defeat ___ cogs, that means ASSIST, not kill the cogs yourself because you want to be done with the task.
Phew! Can you tell I have toons of my own in TTC? |
